Spamming can be productive when used properly
Social media is an effective marketing tool on the Internet if it's used properly. Not only is there a possibility of boosting sales and build buyer confidence, but it will also expand your presence and increase traffic.But let me give you fair warning.... spamming constantly on Twitter, Facebook and other social media sites is not only annoying, but it can be counterproductive, plus it can be reported. If you have followers on My Space, Facebook Fanpage, Twitter and blogs, this means that you may be spamming to a limited audience. It's like "preaching to the choir". Even your targeted market, no matter how interested they are, will be turned off, as this will appear as begging. Social media offers a great opportunity to introduce yourself and let them get to know you first and gain their trust. This will make you a friendly and approachable personality that will attract more followers. Always provide useful information while chatting while having fun and learning.
Use the Social Media as a tool to find people who are successful in their marketing and advertising technique. Ask them if they don't mind if you pick their brain for ideas. I've found that the majority of professional people are willing to help.
Here are a few tips to make your experience better and more productive while having fun;
~Be genuinely interested in others. It's more important to be interested than trying to be interesting.
~Have fun by sharing a little humor now and then. No need to fill feeds up with jokes or stories everyday, just share when you have something that you are truly having fun with.
~Be consistent in your feeds to build relationships
~Be helpful and offer your support when someone asks a question or needs help.
~Share your tips on business ideas, resources, marketing and advertising tips as this will keep people interested and coming back for more of your expertise.

A plug board is a great way to "plug" your store or website for free. It's a code that you can put on your site that allows visitors to link a banner to their own website URL. Each time a new site is added, the previous buttons are bumped down and eventually bumped off.
You need to bookmark it and check every so often to see if you need to put your banner up again.
Plugboards are available for different sizes of 'plugs' including 88x31 pixels, 468x60 pixels, 50x50 pixels and 80x15 pixels.
The only problem I had was creating the proper size. But I found that I could buy a banner for only $1.50 and $2.00 for animated. Not a bad deal.
