Free Candy Sack Crochet Pattern
Materials:1 oz. worsted weight yarn for main color
Small amount contrasting worsted weight yarn for tie
Size H crochet hook
Size: I call this the "Big As You Want It" sack, because you can go as tall as you like with it. The sack pictured is 6 rounds tall, and 3"x4". Since nobody else in my family likes lemon drops, my "hiding place" isn't too big!
Rnd 1: ch 12, dc in 3rd ch from hk, dc in next 8 chs, 6 dc in next ch, working in free loops on the opposite side, dc in next 8 ch loops, 4 dc in last ch lp, join w sl st to top of ch 3 (28 dc). You've just crocheted a big oval, and now you will build your sides.
Rnd 2: ch 3, working in back loops only for this round, dc in each dc around, join as before (28 dc).
Rnd 3: ch 3, working in both loops again, dc in each dc around, join as before (28 dc).
Rnds 4-?: Rep round 3, working 28 dcs around, fasten off when your candy sack is as big as your stash is! Weave in ends.
Tie: With contrasting yarn, ch 60, fasten off, weave in ends. Starting at front and center weave ch through the last round of dcs of your sack. Fill with candy and tie ends into a bow. Enjoy!
