Free Chef's Hat Pincushion Crochet Pattern

Materials
1/2 oz white worsted weight yarn
Size H crochet hook
Fiberfill stuffing

Size: 3" tall
Gauge: 2 rounds of dc=1"

Note: Weave in ends as work progresses.

Top
Rnd 1: Ch 4, join w sl st in 1st ch to form ring, ch 3, 11 dc in ring, join w sl st in top of ch 3 (12 dc).
Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in same dc, 2 dc in next dc and in each dc around, join as before (24 dc).
Rnd 3: Ch 3, 2 dc in next dc, *dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc, rep from * around, join as before (36 dc).
Rnd 4: Dc dec over 1st 2 dc and over each of next 2 dc around, join as before (18 dc).
Rnd 5: (Work this round in back loops only!)Ch 3, dc in next dc and in each dc around, join as before (18 dc).
Rnds 6-7: Ch 3, dc in each dc around, join as before, fasten off after Rnd 7 (18 dc).

Bottom
Ch 4, join w sl st in 1st ch to form ring, ch 3, 17 dc in ring, join w sl st in top of ch 3, fasten off (18 dc).

Stuff top of hat with fiberfill.

Line up bottom dc edges with Rnd 7 dcs. Sew bottom to top.

Optional: Cut a small circle of blue felt and glue to Rnds 6 and 7 to make a "famous" chef's hat!
