Free Cherries Jubilee Square Crochet Pattern

Materials
1 oz red worsted weight yarn
1 oz white worsted weight yarn
Size H crochet hook

Size: 6 1/2" square
Gauge: 2 rnds of dc=1"

Note: Weave in ends as work progresses.

Circles (make 4)
Rnd 1: With red, make ring (or ch 4, join w sl st in 1st ch to form ring. I prefer the "magic ring" method), ch 3, 11 dc in ring, join w sl st in top of ch 3 (12 dc).
Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in same dc, 2 dc in next dc and in each dc around, join as before, fasten off (24 dc).
Join Circles by whipstitching together at 2 center stitches of each circle (arrows on photo below illustrate joining points). Be sure right sides of circles face front.

Edging:
Rnd 1: Join white w sl st in top center of right side of one circle (marked with an "X" on photo), ch 1, sc in same dc, sc in next 2 dc, *ch 2, trc in joining sp between circles, ch 2, sc in each of next 6 center dc across top of next circle, ch 2, sc in each of next 6 center dc across top of next circle, rep from * in same manner around, but instead of working last 6 sc, only work 3 sc, join w sl st in 1st sc.
Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in next 2 sc, *2 dc in next ch 2 sp, dc in trc, 2 dc in next ch 2 sp, dc in next 6 sc,(3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in next ch 2 sp, dc in next 6 sc, rep from * around in same manner, ending w dc in last 3 dc, fasten off (23 dc on each side, 92 dc total).
Rnd 3: Join red w sl st in any dc, ch 1, sc in same dc and in each of next 22 dc, *5 sc in ch 2 sp, sc in next 23 dc, rep from *around in same manner, ending with 5 sc in last ch 2 sp, join w sl st in 1st sc, fasten off (112 sc).
