Free Citrus Coaster Crochet Pattern
Materials1/2 oz yellow worsted weight yarn
1/2 oz orange worsted weight yarn
Size H crochet hook
Size: 4" in diameter
Gauge: 2 rnds dc=1"
Rnd 1: With yellow, make ring (or ch 4, join w sl st in 1st ch to form ring. I prefer the "magic ring" method), ch 3, 11 dc in ring, join w sl st in top of ch 3 (12 dc).
Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in same dc, 2 dc in next dc and in each dc around, join as before, fasten off (24 dc).
Rnd 3: Join orange w sl st in 1st dc of Rnd 2, ch 1, sc in same dc, 2 sc in next dc,* sc in next dc, 2 sc in next dc, rep from * around, join w sl st in 1st sc (36 dc).
Rnd 4: Ch 3, dc in next sc, 2 dc in next sc, dc in next 2 sc, 2 dc in next sc, changing to yellow in last dc. With yellow, *dc in next 2 sc, 2 dc in next sc, dc in next 2 sc, 2 dc in last sc*, changing to orange in last dc. Alternating yellow and orange yarns, rep from * to * around, fasten off. You will end with 6 groups of 8 dcs-3 groups orange and 3 groups yellow (48 dc).
