Giving & Getting Stuff For Free
"The Freecycle Network is made up of 4,342 groups with 4,921,000 members across the globe. It's a grassroots effort and an entirely nonprofit movement of people who are giving (& getting) stuff for free in their own towns. It's all about reuse and keeping good stuff out of landfills. Each local group is moderated by a local volunteer (them's good people). Membership is free." - Freecycle
Freecyle is easy and fun to use. Like a free garage sale. Each morning I check my inbox and surf through the free listings. It amazes me how many people are getting involved.
We recently added a new member to our family. A college student needed a home for her guinea pig which included the cage, food, and bedding for a month. It was my son's birthday. What a deal. It's a win-win for both sides. Recycling and reusing is a way to eliminate the amount of items being thrown into landfills when there is another solution. Freecycle is that solution.
Start Freecycling today . What have you got to lose except unwanted stuff? It's free.
Happy Freecycling,
Kelly Wissink

- Three pairs of women's shoes. A box of record albums. Stereo equipment. A stovetop. A quill and ink bottle. A wicker basket. An acoustic guitar. A dehumidifier. As I write, all those things and more are being offered for free on my local Freecycle Network. By the time you read this, they'll be taken. As the saying goes, one man's trash is another man's treasure.

- I've been using Freecycle on and off for several years. You lens just reminded me to get back into it! The problem is, I live in the hills and many people don't always want to make the trip up there unless it's a big item.
