Get That Emotional Shadow Out of the Way of Your Professional Success!

Volumes have been written about the personal politics at the office. Most people spend a at least a third of their weekdays at the office or the store or the plant. Many people are there for more hours and days than that. It is little wonder that the work place begins to take on the qualities of family for many people.

This can be a good thing. It makes the workplace feel friendlier and feeds the need for human relationships while we work.

However, we can also bring in the baggage from the family. Since baggage is an unconscious process, it brings emotions that aren't consciously identified and can get us reacting in ways that we don't realize or understand.

Emotional Freedom Techniques are there to help us rid ourselves of these unconscious processes so that our relationships in the office are based on the reality of what is happening at the moment.

When we are freed of the emotional baggage from our past we feel better and just as importantly we are able to function more productively in the workplace or in our businesses.

This will lead to more success.

When Talking to Your Boss Makes You Feel Lilke a Little Kid

You are an educated person. You may even be a spouse and parent. You are respected in your community and by your co-workers. However, when your boss calls you in to talk, whether it be about a project that is stalled or just your yearly evaluation, you feel like a small child who was caught with hands in the cookie jar.

Where does that come from?

1. Sit alone at home and place yourself mentally in your boss' office. Get a feeling for being there in your boss's presence.

2. Do a body scan, where do you feel the emotion?

3. Identify the main emotion.

4. Identify a time, in your family, when you felt the same way.

5. On a scale of 1 to 10 how strong is the emotion when you recall it today

6. Form a problem related to that time, person or event.

7. Example: I felt like a child because my older brother ridiculed me when I tried to read.

8. Find your sore spot on your chest and rub saying, "Even though my brother ridiculed me when I was 5, I totally and completely love honor and accept myself".

9. Then do the EFT that is shown in the video.

10. Get yourself back to the past and scan for the feeling again. It will likely be a zero, but if it hasn't gone to at least a 2, repeat. or look for another incident that needs to be cleared



Soon you will be feeling like the professional grown up that you are and no one will be able to change that.

So Now You Have the Basic Protocol

Its really that simple folks.

The difficulty isn't the technique, but finding the correct problem can be trickier.

The picture here shows the almost electric connections that can happen between two people. These can be wonderful and feel like love or they can be negative and an emotional burden.

They can certainly have a negative effect on work performance or business.

I have already shown one possibility, that an authority figure boss could make you feel like a child, just as if there were an electric connection going between you and them.

However, this can happen with any relationship. You might want to ask yourself...Is the woman next door really that annoying? or is it that unconsciously she reminds you of the girl who flirted and stole your boyfriend that makes you feel vulnerable again?

Go back to the first step above. Do your body scan, let your unconscious tell you when you felt this way before, with whom and then do the protocol.

Convinced That People Are Talking About You?

You are always on the outs with everyone else in the know?

1. What makes you think that is true?

2. If it is true, then what makes you let it happen?

Now, if you have done something to make people angry with you, then you must fix that. Use the EFT method to get rid of the emotions that make it hard to make a plan to change things.

If there is nothing to be done, then it may be time to leave. If that brings up negative emotions, use the EFT method to get rid of the emotions that keep you in an untenable situation.

However, if these feelings are based on some baggage in the past, then use EFT to get rid of it.

So the answer is EFT, EFT and EFT.

Its that easy.

Entering New Rooms? Is It Exciting or Is Fear The Emotion?

Entering new rooms is a symbol for starting anything new. And of course, to do something new, you literally have to enter a new room.

So what happens to you?

Now is the time for you to think about this, really think. What is so scary about new things, or even entering new rooms?

Now some people are naturally more introverted. EFT does not aim to change things are are ok. However, if it is really fear and the fear is preventing you from meeting your goals, then it is time for action.

Go through the process yourself or find a professional to help you.

Remember, working with an EFT professional is not a life long major commitment. It is just a matter of finding the source of your blocks.

Do You Need Help to Leave?

Is it time to leave your job, to look for a better one or start your own business? What stops you? Does the thought of leaving feel like the picture here? That even if its your idea, you feel you are getting the bum's rush?

Making changes is a complicated process. If the change is leaving a comfortable place it becomes more difficult. It can bring up the same ambivalence that we all felt when we left our loving families. Even if we were chomping at the bit to get out, the idea of being on our own was daunting.

Now, what emotional issues happened around that time. Get quiet, so the scans and think.

Or it may not have been leaving home, but graduating or breaking up with with someone. Whether the experience or relationship was good or not, ending it creates baggage.

Its time to identity the baggage and quickly and easily get rid of it.

You know how now. Do it by yourself or get someone to help. Just Do It

Is Anger a Constant Companion?

You yell at your computer, your phone; and its all you can do to not do that with customers, but things come out of your mouth when speaking with the paperboy that you can't believe you said.

That has happened to me. I have reacted to a small inconvenience with a passionate reaction that clearly had little or nothing to do with what just happened.

When this happens to me, I use the EFT method to figure out what the issue is, then I do the method.

What Are You Hiding From?

Better yet, what are you hiding? What gifts are you protecting from the public?

The emotional baggage that makes you hide your talents, your self is not a life long sentence. You have the means to get rid of it quickly and easily.

Try the method on yourself, using the protocol I have described. If that doesn't work for you, if identifying your emotional baggage is too complicated for you to do yourself, then find someone to help you.

But stop hiding now!

    I discovered EFt about three years ago, and I'm a huge fan. Today, I cannot imagine life without it. I literally "try it on everything" and more often than not, get good success.
