Interested in a bucket of premium golf balls for free?
I just moved to a new house with a gorgeous yard that overlooks the 15th hole green of the Columbia, MD Fairway Hills Golf Course. The hole is a fairly straight, flat run and is a par 4. Its only real trick is a slightly offset tee. That tee is slightly offset from the fairway and just to the left of my yard. The fairway begins even with my yard.
Any slice to the right ends up in my lavishly landscaped yard. In a typical week I shag 4-10 decent balls from my yard. I collect them in a bucket (or 2!) and at the end of the month I give them away to one lucky person. I do this through www.golfballsgiveaway.com.

Golf Ball Styles
Distance Balls - made with hard, durable covers and solid cores. These balls are often made of two-pieces with a core designed for spring from your club.
Spin Balls - These balls produce spin when hit in the air. Usually made of three-piece construction, these balls have a central core (often liquid in the highest spinning balls), surrounded by rubber windings and covered by a soft, thin material called balata. Because of their softer feel they don't travel as far as distance balls, but because of their spin they tend to hold the green.
Performance Balls - This type of ball is designed to balance spin, distance and control. These balls are often multilayered, multi-construction balls and tend to be preferred by advanced players.
Why do Golf Balls Have Dimples?
Dimples on a golf ball allow air to travel over the surface of the ball with less drag. The dimples provide desired aerodynamic effects on the ball and give it lift- the air on the top of the ball travels slightly faster than the air below it!
Golf ball dimples play a key role in determining the distance traveled by the ball and give better stability in the trajectory of the shot.
