Secrets of iPhone Downloads ...

The iPhone is a really meaty and mighty cellphone - PLUS !
One of the greatest facilities is downloading music and movies.
It's just SO easy to do ..
Apple made the iPhone and designed it to make easy downloads - and lots of peole have jumped on the bandwaggon. It';s such an appealing feature but there are unforeseen problems..

According to their (Apple !) rules, Apple only allows third party (read: what they don't own) companies to produce peripherals, but not any useful software. A tecchie programmer never let a restriction like that stop him/her.
After all is said and done, once you have bought something you own it....

Apple iPhone software(firmware) has been hacked. THere is now pirate software which bypasses the internal Apple gatekeeper and makes it possible to connect with other networks.

Hey you mean we don't have to use AT&T any more ? Uh - yep ! Despite Apple working feverishly on a software update to get this back under their control yet another hacker has broken the latest software 'updates'.

It would appear that all Apple can do is threaten to invalidate the warranty on an iPhone using prohibited software. That only becomes a big problem when your iphone malfunctions or breaks down. Many of the iPhone download sites mentioned on this page have no limits on the amount of content, music, games or software than can be downloaded directly to your iPhone.

So the major problem there is that you're limited only by the available space on your iPhone. The sites suggested here iPhone download sites are membership sites that offer unlimited movies, TV shows, music, games, eBooks and software.

OK there *is* a membership fee to join those sites but when you consider the vast array of movies or music and software you can download for free after that, it rapidly can be seen that you will spend far less than renting movies from your local store and as for software, well you will save hundred$ of Dollar$ there.

Most of the download sites have 24/7 technical support teams to answer any of your questions you have about your iPhone downloads.
You might get lucky and find a site that gives a bonus for joining, like the ability to receive free DVD-to-PC-to-iPhone software.
Several of the sites recommended have just such a deal for you.

The main reason I started this site was to sort out the wheat from the chaff.

Different sites offer many different features and their multi-media downloads vary from small to large selections. Find a site with fast downloads - that is pretty important as you don't want to get stuck with that slows you down while it deals with other visitors and makes you wait to get your hands on your iPhone goodies.

Its really VITAL to choose an iPhone download site that also promotes the highest quality for MP3 format and totally assures its members that no spyware nor adware will come hidden with the downloads.
This is why I definitely do NOT recommend any Eastern Bloc or Far Eastern download sites. All of thoss that I looked at immediately tried to upload spyware or key loggers. Definitely a no-no !

Now you have become an iPhone owner, be careful what you download.

Apple-approved sites are user-friendly, while others may not be.
You want to protect your cell phone and your investment. But most of all you need to protect yourself against identity theft.
Your computer stores all of your credit card and most other transactions unless you have set your browser correctly (most people haven't !)

Have Fun with your iPhone - that is what it was made for !

A Word About Pirate Sites for iPhone Downloads

You can get into SERIOUS TROUBLE using a File Sharing Site.

Movie Makers and publishers are getting really TOUGH worldwide about unlicensed File Sharing .
You could get SERIOUSLY SUED if they catch you
(and wouldn't that be just your luck ?)
Pirate Sites are Notorious for also attaching TROJAN VIRUSES and KEYLOGGERS to people who download from them.
Sometimes all you have to do is just visit their site (before you even download anything !).
Please make SURE you have good anti-virus and spyware software on your computer.
(Good ones are AVG,Norton and McCaffee)
Easy Solution is to use a Licensed Download Site.

This Site has a moderate joining fee with unlimited free movie downloads - why risk the cowboy sites ?

Photographers win British war on photography?
Is Britain's war on photography coming to an end? After the Independent newspaper got senior officials to admit that anti-terror legislation was being "widely abused...to question and search innocent photographers," the Association of Chief Police Officers has sent out a strongly worded memo to all officers ordering them to cease the practice. The harrassment of photographers by police officers is said to have senior officers "exasperated, depressed and embarrassed," and they characterize officers' belief that anti-terror laws prohibit photography as an "internal urban myth." Chief Constable Andy Trotter, chairman of Acpo's media advisory group, took the decision to send the warning after growing criticism of the police's treatment of photographers. Writing in today's Independent, he says: "Everyone... has a right to take photographs and film in public places. Taking photographs... is not normally cause for suspicion and there are no powers prohibiting the taking of photographs, film or digital images in a public place." He added: "We need to make sure that our officers and Police Community Support Officers [PCSOs] are not unnecessarily targeting photographers just because they are going about their business. The last thing in the world we want to do is give photographers a hard time or alienate the public. We need the public to help us. "Photographers should be left alone to get on with what they are doing. If an officer is suspicious of them for some reason they can just go up to them and have a chat with them - use old-fashioned policing skills to be frank - rather than using these powers, which we don't want to over-use at all." Section 44 of the Terrorism Act allows the police to stop and search anyone they want, without need for suspicion, in a designated area. The exact locations of many of these areas are kept secret from the public, but are thought to include every railway station in and well-known tourist landmarks thought to be at risk of terrorist attacks... Latest lame UK gov't excuse for supressing drug policy report: "if we release it, it will be hard to manage the news"
The British government has reached new heights of absurdity in stonewalling the release of a report on the efficacy of drug prohibition. The report was commissioned from independent academic researchers, and various activist and citizen groups have spent years filing four separate Freedom of Information requests for it. The government has manufactured excuse after excuse, going out on such bizarre limbs that even the Economist has taken notice. The reason is that next March the National Audit Office (NAO), a public-spending watchdog, is due to publish a report of its own on local efforts to combat drugs. The Home Office says that to have two reports about drugs out at the same time might confuse the public, and for this reason it is going to keep its report under wraps. This is believed to be the first time that a public body has openly refused to release information in order to manage the news better. The department argues that releasing its internal analysis now "risks misinterpretation of the findings of the [NAO] report", because its own analysis is from 2007 and predates the NAO's findings. The argument uses section 36 of the FOI act, which provides a broad exemption for information that could "prejudice the effective conduct of public affairs". The information commissioner, who polices the FOI act, declined to comment because the case was still open. But his predecessor, Richard Thomas, who stepped down in June, questioned the novel defence. "Certainly my office was always quite sceptical of anything which said publishing information is going to confuse the public. If that's the case, normally you need to put out some extra material alongside it to provide adequate explanation. It's not a reason for withholding something." My Conclusions.. on Apple iPhone Downloads

There were some services that looked OK but did not meet my criteria -

I did not include any (knowingly) Pirate sites.
There are a number of Pirate movie sites (especially in Russia and the Far East).

There are Four problems with these sites :

1: Could have Viruses or Trojans attached (this was the most important thing I figured since Russia has now become a hotbed for identity theft and I wanted readers to avoid this.

2: Language - Although most of the pirate services offered English /French/German movies they were almost always either dubbed in their national language or had blurred sub-title that I find especially annoying.

3: The (remote but real)
possibility of copyright owners suing you especially from P2P sites.

4: The possibility of the pirate site owners being ID Fraud specialists who would rip off your identity from your credit card details.

These problems cut out 95% of all the sites I looked at.
The sites reviewed are believed genuine and I have as yet had no complaints about any of them.
ALL of them have a money-back guarantee and secure processing credit card system for their joining fees. Most (if not all) of the legitimate sites have joining fees which vary according to how much they offer. NONE of the sites I reviewed had any download fees at all.

Many of the sites were just straightforward sales sites and some promised free software but it was only a free trial version.
Some were just Pirate Sites (and I would AVOID PIRATE SITES AT ALL COST !) Most of those IMMEDIATELY tried to install a trojan virus and if I had not installed a good anti virus suite, would probably have control of my computer even now !

Frankly its a bit of a jungle out there - I did find several cheap sites in Hong Kong but these were without exception pirated movies with english subtitles (and lots of Chinese voiceovers !)
This is not really surprising as pirate dvds in China sell for about $1 each retail ! The same went for sites from Thailand and Vietnam..to be honest I'd be very reluctant to give ANY of those sites my credit card details for any transaction at all.

I did not find ONE legal iphone movie download site that did not charge an administration fee to join their service - Frankly I don't think they can do ... an honest, legal site has to charge a joining fee in order to keep their contracts with software companies.
Fees are usually in the range of $30 to $40 - FOR LIFE. That is quite reasonable for a lifetime of downloading free movies, music and games !

iPhone Downloads from Wikipedia

The iPhone is an Internet and multimedia enabled smartphone designed and marketed by Apple Inc. The iPhone functions as a camera phone (also including text messaging and visual voicemail), a portable media player (equivalent to a video iPod), and an Internet client (with email, web browsing, and Wi-Fi connectivity) — using the phone's multi-touch screen to render a virtual keyboard in lieu of a physical keyboard.

The first-generation phone (known as the Original) was quad-band GSM with EDGE; the second generation phone (known as 3G) added UMTS with 3.6 Mbps HSDPA; the third generation adds support for 7.2 Mbps HSDPA downloading but remains limited to 384 Kbps uploading as Apple had not implemented the HSPA protocol.

Apple announced the iPhone on January 9, 2007, after months of rumors and speculation. The original iPhone was introduced in the United States on June 29, 2007 before being marketed worldwide. Time magazine named it the Invention of the Year in 2007. Released July 11, 2008, the iPhone 3G supports faster 3G data speeds and assisted GPS. On March 17, 2009, Apple announced version 3.0 of the iPhone OS operating system for the iPhone (and iPod Touch), released on June 17, 2009. The iPhone 3GS was announced on June 8, 2009, and has improved performance, a camera with more megapixels and video capability, and voice control. It was released in the U.S., Canada and 6 European countries on June 19, 2009, in Australia and Japan on June 26, and saw international release in July and August, 2009.
