Get your kids something to do for free.

I came across this site looking for a gift for a cousin.  It is pretty cool.  They have numerous software titles, and all for free.  There is a shipping charge for each CD, but it is still pretty cool.  The site is FreeCDSoftware.com

There are tons of educational titles, and also games for kids.  I ended up getting a security software for myself that was a $80 product.  I installed it the other day, and it is working well.

Check this site out.  I am pretty sure you will find something you like. 

Panda Security 

This is the product I ordered. It is an $80 product, and I got it for free. It is just like all those other security softwares you can get. The thing most people don't know is when you install this program it automatically goes and grabs the most up to date virus protection. So even though this is a 2006 product, it still grabs the most recent security downloads. The Panda Security product is a great security software that has left me more comfortable surfing the Internet.

Dora The Explorer Backpack Adventure 

This is Dora the Explorer from the Nick Jr TV show. It is a game where you have to help Dora take her books back to the library. Great game for the kids.

Middle School Learning System 2007 

If your child is struggling at all with middle school this is a great software program to help them with their studies. It includes all the core subjects, and has multimedia presentations. It is a program that allows your child to go at their own pace. It combines audio, text, and pictures to help your child learn. This is a great deal considering all you have to do is pay the shipping.

Risk II 

Risk is a classic board game. I remember long days spent playing Risk, and trying for world domination. This is a game that will entertain your kids for hours.



Plus there are no pieces to clean up. This was always one of the bad parts of the board game. There were always pieces and cards getting lost.
