Free Mother's Day Trinket Box Crochet Pattern !

Free Pattern

Materials:
1 oz. worsted weight yarn for main color
Small amount worsted weight yarn for contrasting color
Size H crochet hook
Silk flower or button for embellishment

Size:about 2 inches tall

Box:
Rnd 1: With size H crochet hook and main color, make ring (or you can ch 4 and join w sl st to form ring. I prefer the "magic ring" method ), ch 3, 11 dc in ring,join w sl st to top of ch 3 (12 dc), pull ring closed.
Rnd 2: ch 3, dc in same dc as ch 3, 2 dc in each dc around, join as before (24 dc).
Rnd 3: ch 3, 2 dc in next dc, dc in next dc around, join (36 dc).
Rnd 4: ch 3, working in back loops only for this round, dc in each dc around, join (36 dc).
Rnd 5: working in both loops again, ch 3, dc in each dc around, join (36 dc).
Rnd 6: ch 3, dc in each dc around, join, fasten off (36 dc).

Lid:
Using main color, rep Rnds 1-3 of box. Fasten off.
Rnd 4: Join contrastring color in 1st st, ch 1, sc in same st, *sk next st, 5dc in next st, sk next st, sc in next st, rep from * around, join to 1st sc, fasten off.

Weave in all ends. Glue flower or button to lid if desired. Let dry. Place lid on box...and enjoy!

    This is a pretty little container. One of our granddaughters collects trinket boxes. I think she'll like this one. Thanks for sharing.

    Thank you so very much for sharing this pattern. I know that I am going to make several. Once I get the hang of it then I will try to make different versions and get my creativity going as you encouraged me to do.
