How can you build a successful Internet business for free? Here's what I did!
First, you need to decide what information you would like to offer on your website. This can be as brief as one page describing who you are, where your are, what you do, and how to contact you, or it can be as comprehensive as you wish. You can include as many pages as you like describing your products and services or offering information you feel is relative to the needs of your customers and the general public.
Some would say you need someone to design your web site for you... That would be you, if you want it done for FREE! All you need to do is take your information and pictures, or other graphics and combine them to make attractive, readable, professional looking pages. There are sites that will help you for little or no charge for this service. I will share my favorites in a few...
Next, you need to have someplace to store your web pages so they can be accessed by all Internet users. This is called a Web "Server." Here's what you'll need to do...
Set up a computer in-house dedicated to Internet service. Generally speaking, only the largest companies have the resources to maintain an in-house server. This option requires 24 hour maintenance, a programmer and high speed communication lines. This is usually an expensive proposition...until now.

A great way to advertise and generate personal leads for things that you're interested in is Social Networking. Sites like Facebook, Twitter, MySpace etc. have been a wonderful FREE resource to Internet Marketers that have zero money to spend on leads and advertising.So what are the so far under-penetrated benefits of social networking?
Lower Costs
It's actually free to employ most of the the online social networking strategies, rather than to pay for advertising.
When you social network, you can pre-screen potential customers. You learn what your prospects like and what they don't. That personal relationship you gain when you connect with your potential customer is more valuable than what you would get had you advertised. Advertising is impersonal: the "one size fits all" concept does not seem to work anymore.
What would it mean to you if you could find out what people in your group of "friends" wanted, and then be able to fill that "need"?
Can't guess...MONEY BABY??
Obtaining friends on social networking sites is as easy as just asking people to be your friend...really, it's that simple!
Credibility and Trust
Connecting with prospects on a personal level builds trust and credibility. A general rule of thumb is to offer your services, expertise or help before you ask for it. It is acceptable to promote your services when asked. If you're not careful, your attempts could be considered spam. Instead, wait for the opportunities to present themselves instead of forcing a situation. I learned this the hard way :0(
It's Who You Know
When you socialize, you meet others who know others. How are you going to meet the president of a large corporation? You start by talking to his friends. You ask your associates if they know someone who is connected with him And on and on.
Folks, this is viral!
Have you ever heard of 6 degrees of separation? If not, here's a brief explanation:
Six degrees of Separation (also referred to as the "Human Web") refers to the idea that, if a person is one step away from each person they know and two steps away from each person who is known by one of the people they know, then everyone is at most six steps away from any other person on Earth.
That means that you are connected to people like Oprah and the President, and would be able to find that connection within 6 people! It's pretty cool...check it out!

Have you heard about an Auto-Responder, and why you need one?
So, what is an auto-responder?An Auto-responder is a web-form creation tool, that you can use to collect your prospects e-mail addresses from your site. The auto-responder can be pre-loaded with messages to be sent out to those subscribers at pre-determined dates/times. Allowing you to follow up with your subscribers on a grand scale without having to manually type each individual email.
Broadcasts can also be sent to your list of subscribers at anytime you wish and with any message you decide.
All e-mails and form details are stored in the back office of your auto-responder and you have full control of what happens to it. Multiple forms can be created and unlimited different lists can be compiled, in totally different markets and this will create different lists form different sites, all with a little bit of copy and paste HTML code, which is provided by the supplier of the auto-responder service after you input the details.
Any Internet Marketer would strongly suggest getting an auto-responder. Having one can either make or break your online business!
Do yourself a favor...learn from my mistakes.
Just some of the reasons I have an auto-responder:
1. Relationship building with your website visitors to build trust and respect.
2. The ability to have your visitors preview new products available on your site.
3. The option of having an e-mail series explaining the benefits of your product or services.
4. Poll your subscribers to see how you can improve your service/product or help them get the results they desire from your service/product.
5. Make Money with your list of customers more frequently than you would be able to with just your website and normal e-mail.
Two leading suppliers of an auto-responder services are Freeautobot.com or Aweber.com
Freeautobot of course is FREE, which is a viable option if you truly have limited resources.
Your second option is using aweber which only costs about $30 a month. Honestly, most people prefer Aweber, but again, if you don't have the funds yet Freeautobot will do just fine.
