You may have heard about people getting free iPods, free xbox 360s, free PSPs, or free TVs online.  It's no scam, Freepay.com was the original company to start rewarding people like you and me with all kinds of free stuff.

How Freepay Works

Freepay is a new kind of marketing company that makes money by giving people incentive to advertise for its partners. The incentive is given in the form of free electronics and other products, while the advertising is provided on the Freepay website in the form of "offers".

A Freepay website typically looks like http://productname.freepay.com. Each website has seperate account information, so you can sign up for any free products you choose.

Three Steps to Getting Free Products

The simple version

Follow the links for a more detailed explanation of each step.
Register
Find a Freepay website that's offering a reward you want.
Refer
Tell your friends about the Freepay website using your referral link.
Receive
You're done! Wait for your reward to come in the mail.

Tips for getting referrals

Trading is the easiest way to get a lot of referrals quickly. You have to be careful when you pick who you do a trade with, but once you get a reputation for being a trustworthy referral trader people will go first in the trade guaranteeing their credit. I trade at RefStop

Tell your friends! If you get your friends into refered marketing they can go for one prize and you can go for another, sharing the use of each. For example: you get a psp, they get an xbox. Eight friends can do this easily.

Post flyers. I've wanted to do this for a while, but I'm worried about getting in trouble with the Campus/City. If you know a place open to public posting, make a nice looking flyer with tearaway referral links.

Requirements

Please follow these requirements if you want to sign up to a Freepay website.
  • You must be at least 18 years old
  • You need a credit card (only for use with the offer of your choice)
  • You can't cheat! if you try to sign up multiple times and you are caught breaking the rules, Freepay will hold your account indefinately (lock it up, and throw away the key).
  • Don't spam! If someone complains to Freepay that you have been posting your link on websites where it is not wanted, or emailing it to people you do not know your account will be put on hold.

Register

Step 1

The first step to getting a free iPod, PSP, xbox 360, etc. is to sign up to one of the Freepay websites (They are listed above). Remember, use valid information or you may risk having your account put on hold.

When you are done signing up, Freepay will verify your email address. If you don't receive anything you can resend the verification email from your 'Account' page.

Finally, choose an offer from one of Freepay's partners. They are reputable companies such as Blockbuster, AOL, and Maxim. Details on each offer are provided, but if you are having trouble deciding there is a website called Rate The Offers.com that provides useful reviews. Your best bet is to try an offer that you are genuinely interested in participating in.

Refer

Step 2

Tell your freinds and family about the Freepay website you are trying. To get your reward you need to have several people sign up to the same website and participate in one offer.

The number of referrals required to get a reward varies between each Freepay site, but this information is listed in the Freepay Sites module above.

If you are having trouble referring people and getting them to sign up to an offer, show them this website. If that doesn't work there are services that allow you to trade referrals or offer money in return for referrals. One such service is called RefStop.

Receive

Step 3

Once you have met Freepay's requirements you will be able to provide a shipping address for your free reward. Freepay will review your account and if you have participated fairly, they will send you your free product.

At this point, you're done. You can wait for your reward to arrive in the mail, or you may want to start another Freepay website. Remember that you can only complete each individual website once (Sorry, you can't get two free xbox 360s, but you can get an xbox 360 and a flatscreen tv to play it on).

Question and Answer

email me any unanswered questions!

Q: Who can try Freepay.com's sites?
A: Originally Freepay.com sites were for US Citizens only, but some sites are being made available to people living in Canada, Germany, and the UK

Q: What if I don't have a credit card to do an offer, or if I don't want to provide mine?
A: Check at your local bank about getting a gift card. These work just like credit cards, but are safer because they have a limit of whatever amount you put on them.

Q: How should I choose an offer to complete?
A: Pick an offer that you are genuinely interested in participating in. Don't pick an offer because it seems easiest to complete. Freepay relies on people doing offers honestly to continue providing free stuff.

About arosboro

Since July 2004 a company called Freepay, Inc. has been giving away free electronics such as iPods, TVs, and popular video game systems.  I participated in this business model early after it was introduced, and I'm mastering this lense to help inform others of how the company can afford to give away free gear.
