Ranked #4,320 in Shopping, #36,574 overall
Are You Claiming Your Free Phones For Life?
There are millions of people in the UK who are unaware of numerous internet offers, that will quite literally allow you to receive free mobile phones, calls and texts for life!
If you're thinking of getting a new mobile phone, whether it be a contract or pay as you go, then make sure you read this handy guide - it will save you £££ on mobile phone costs.
12 Months Free Line Rental Deals
With online shopping increasing in popularity, internet based retailers have become more widespread and have increased the competition among mobile phone retailers. These outlets receive the same commissions as High Street stores, however, their overheads are much lower. This allows them to attract customers by offering to to refund the entire line rental for the first year of the contract, and in addition provide you with a new mobile phone, with free minutes & texts.
These promotions are known as 'Cashback' deals and anyone over 18 can sign up and save thousands of pounds on running costs.
Simply choose your favourite handset and select a monthly tariff plan with your preferred number of free minutes and texts. Enjoy the free monthly calls and minutes you receive, and by the end of the contract, you get refunded for all the line rental fees you paid. After the 12 months is up, you can then switch to another phone and start all over again.
By taking part in these promotions each year, you will never have to pay for a mobile phone, call or text again!
How Does Cashback Work?
Although each retailer has different terms and conditions for their Cashback offers, essentaily the offers work in the same way.You simply pay the monthly line rental fees and throughout the year, you send off claims to your retailer who will then reimburse you for the line rental. Some retailers will issue you cheques, whilst others will pay the money straight into your bank account.
1. Choose your handset. Try to get a contract which has more minutes and texts than what you think you will use. If you go over your monthly allowance, your retailer will not refund you for these extra calls/texts.
2. Use your phone as normal whilst paying the monthly line rental charges.
3. Get refunded for the monthly line rental you paid by claiming your Cashback from the retailer. This is usually done in 3 or 4 stages throughout the year and involves sending back copies of your phone bill to the retailer.
4. When the 12 months is up, you will have been refunded all your line rental payments and the phones, calls and texts will have cost you nothing. You are then free to cancel your contract and you can then sign up for another deal.
Sounds Too Good To Be True
Ok, so whats the catch?
Retailers make their money by relying on the fact, that most people will simply forget to claim their money back. In order to maximise their profits, most 12 months free line rental contracts are only on tariffs which cost in the region of £30-35 per month.
This may be higher than what you wanted to pay per month, but as long as you follow the instructions given by your retailer, you will be fully refunded for the line rental.
Where Do I Get 12 Months Free Line Rental Deals?
Watch out for the dodgy retailers!
If you sign up with a newly established or lesser known retailer, there is an element of risk when claiming back your line rental. Look around on the forums and you will see plenty of stories from people who have had great difficulty in claiming back their line rental from a number of rogue retailers.
Retailers make their money from these offers by hoping that the customer will simply forget or be too lazy to make the cashback claims. However, some companies have deliberately made refunding your line rental as difficult as possible, with even reports of retailers refusing to process valid claims.
Don't just buy immediately from the first site you see and make sure you pay attention to the terms and conditions of the offer.
Mobiles2YourDoor belongs to the Caudwell Group, the same company which operates Phones4U and are a popular and reptuable retailer. They offer a range of 12 months free line rental offers and have been subject to numerous good reviews.

Things To Look Out For
1. Read and understand the cash back Terms and ConditionsYou'll be presented with the terms and conditions when you buy online. They explain what you need to do in order to claim your cash back. Read them carefully and then read them again. Make sure you fully understand everything. If you buy online then print or save a copy of the T&Cs you are presented with at the online checkout. The T&Cs are very important.
2. Keep a file or a folder in which you can safely store all your paperwork
You'll need a copy of the Terms and Conditions, all documentation supplied with your phone and a copy of each monthly bill. If your cash back is worth £360 then treat your documents as if it were £360 cash.
3. Know where to send your cash back claims
Your phone might not be delivered by the same company you ordered from and the address for cash back claims may also be different. Refer to your terms and conditions and make sure you know where you'll be sending your claims.
4. Know when to send your claims
You'll need to know exactly which bills to send off. It's best to work this out once you've received your first bill from the network as you'll then know your billing date. If the retailer is asking for bills 4, 8 and 12 then you can number each bill as it arrives. If you receive your first bill on 10th March then that is bill number 1 and you can expect to receive your fourth bill on about the 10th July. Again, read the wording of your terms and conditions very carefully as some companies (such as e2save) ask for the bill dated month 4, which might not necessarily be your fourth bill received. For example, if your phone is connected in March then March will be classed as month one, your first bill might arrive in April and so your bill dated month 4, June, will actually be your third bill received. When you're sure which bills you're going to need you should write out a schedule and keep this with your paperwork. You could also add the dates to your diary and to the calendar on your phone.
5. Send your claims by Royal Mail Special Delivery
It would be too easy for a not-too-honest retailer to say they never received your claim, If you sent it by first or second class then it could genuinely be lost in the post. Send it by Special Delivery and you'll have proof of delivery and receipt. If you also add consequential loss insurance and your claim is lost in the post then Royal Mail will compensate you.
How To Get Free Top-up Credit
Here's a clever little trick that will allow you get free top up credit for life. It works on all UK networks and has also been tested on numerous international networks with great results. This loophole has been around for many years and currently has around a 98% success rate.Step 1 - Purchase a top up voucher or paypoint/payzone printout of your network.
Step 2 - Find a friend who is on the same phone network to buy one too.
Step 3 - Both of you type in the digits of the top up code into your phone (the same voucher).
Step 4 - When you get to the last digit both of you press confirm at the exact same time so the same voucher registers on both of your phones.
Step 5 -Repeat this with the other card. You will now have twice the amount of credit on your phone than what you paid.
HANDY TIP
We advise you to get a friend to buy a voucher too, because if it doesn't work and the credit goes onto your friend's phone after you paid for the top-up voucher you will be a little bit miffed! If you dont get the timing right and it doesn't work then, whoever didnt get the credit simply uses the other voucher.
If it does not work try it again with the other top-up voucher and hopefully you will both have twice as much credit as you should have.

Dont want to be an advertising board ?
This guy demonstrates how to remove a logo from the casing of your phone using nothing more than a sugar cube!
One thing the video doesn't show you, is that it's a good idea to cover up the rest of the phone in tape so you don't get sugar in your keypad or elsewhere. Also, be gentle and patient. Press too hard and you could scratch the phone case.
