Free Playing Card Holder Crochet Pattern

Materials:
1 oz. white worsted weight yarn
Small amount red worsted weight yarn
Size H crochet hook (or size neeeded to obtain gauge)
Scrap of red felt
Tacky glue

Gauge: 4 dc=1"

Size: 4 1/2"x 3 1/2"

Card Holder:
Row 1: Using white yarn, ch 12, hdc in 3rd ch from hk and in next 8 ch, 3 hdc in next ch, working in opposite side of foundation ch, hdc in next 8 chs, 3 hdc in last ch, join w sl st to top of ch 3 (24 hdc).
Row 2: Ch 3, working in back loops only, dc in each hdc around, join w sl st in top of ch 3 (24 dc).
Rows 3-9: Ch 3, working in both loops, dc in each dc around, join w sl st in top of ch 3 (24 dc).
Row 10: Ch 2, hdc in each dc around, join w sl st in top of ch 2, fasten off, weave in ends. (24 hdc).

Drawstring:
Using red yarn, ch 60, fasten off. Beginning at front center of card holder, weave ch through hdc sts of Row 10, weave in ends.

Cut 2 heart shapes (about 1/2" tall) from red felt and glue to card holder as shown. Let dry.
