Free Pumpkin Candy Dish Crochet Pattern

Materials:
1 oz orange worsted weight yarn
Small amount green worsted weight yarn
Small amount fiberfill stuffing
Size H crochet hook

Size: 4 1/2" tall
Gauge: 2 rnds of dc=1"

Pumpkin Stem
Note: Do not join rnds on stem. Mark last st in each rnd w st marker.
Rnd 1: With green, make ring (or ch 4, join w sl st in 1st ch to form ring. I prefer the "magic ring" method), ch 1, 6 sc in ring, mark (6 sc).
Rnds 2-4: Sc in each sc around. At end of Rnd 4, join w sl st in 1st sc, fasten off.

Begin Pumpkin
Rnd 5: Join orange w sl st in 1st sc of Rnd 4, ch 3, dc in same sc, 2 dc in next sc and in each sc around, join w sl st in top of ch 3 (12 dc).
Rnd 6: Ch 3, dc in same dc, 2 dc in next dc and in each dc around, join as before (24 dc).
Rnd 7: Ch 3, 2 dc in next dc *dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc, rep from *around, join as before (36 dc).
Rnd 8: Ch 3, dc in next dc and in each dc around, join as before (36 dc).
Rnd 9: (Work this rnd in front loops only!), ch 1, sc in same dc, 2 sc in next dc, *sc in next dc, 2 sc in next dc, rep from *around, join w sl st in 1st sc, fasten off (54 sc).

Bottom of Pumpkin
With orange, make ring (or ch 4, join w sl st in 1st ch to form ring. I prefer the "magic ring" method), ch 3, 11 dc in ring, join w sl st in top of ch 3 (12 dc).
Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in same dc, 2 dc in next dc and in each dc around, join as before (24 dc).
Rnd 3: Working this round in back loops only, ch 3, 2 dc in next dc, *dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc, rep from *around, join as before (36 dc).
Rnds 4-5: Ch 3, dc in next dc and in each dc around, join as before, fasten off after Rnd 5 (36 dc).

Glue small amount of fiberfill stuffing inside stem. Let dry.

Fill bottom with candy. Place lid on top. Happy Halloween!
