Free Sewing Pattern Envelope Crochet Pattern
Materials2 oz yellow worsted weight yarn
Size H crochet hook
Gauge: 2 rows of dc=1"
Size: 6 1/2" x 9 1/2"
Note: Weave in ends as work progresses.
Rectangle 1
Row 1: Ch 24, dc in 3rd ch from hk and in each ch across (23 dc).
Rows 2-19: Ch 3, turn, dc in next dc and in each dc across (23 dc). Fasten off after Row 19.
Rectangle 2
Rep Rows 1-19 of Rectangle 1, but add 6 more rows of dc, ending with 25 rows of 23 dc each. Fasten off after Row 25.
Hold rectangles wrong sides together with Rectangle 1 on top. Line up Rows 1-19 of both rectangles. Whipstitch sides and bottom closed.
Crocheted Button
Make ring (or ch 4, join w sl st in 1st ch to form ring. I prefer the "magic ring" method), ch 1, 6 sc in ring, join w sl st in 1st sc, pull ring closed, fasten off.
Sew button to center front of Row 14 on rectangle 1.
Button Fastener
Join yarn w sl st in 11th dc of Row 25 of Rectangle 2, ch 5, join w sl st in next dc, fasten off.
