Welcome to our squidoo lens about stock photography.

Images have a big impact on websites. They help to get a point across like you can't do with just text. They also introduce color and are pleasing to they eye. The growing size of the web and demand for stock images has meant a number of stock image providers emerging.

Researching around for these images can take a while, to save thousands of people time we created a website called Free Stock Images, we review all the largest stock image providers as well as tell you how to use each site and how good the images are.

If you also want regular tips and updates you should read our web design blog which is updated at least once per month.

HDR Photography

High-Dynamic-Range Photography creates stunning photos by combining three or more photos of the same subject that were all exposed differently (often a normal exposure with a half-stop up and another with a half-stop down). Photos taken in Yellowstone NP; Rocky Mountain NP; and Cripple Creek, CO. Made in iMovie '08. Enjoy.
