SEO and Traffic Tips for Squidooers, Bloggers, Web Site Designers

If you build it (a web site, blog, lens) they will come - eventually.

But if you want to be sure your web site (or blog, or lens) gets found by search engines and displayed on the first page or two of results, you need to follow some basic rules.

First and foremost, play fair: publish good original content, link to related lenses, blogs and sites, update frequently, and get the word out in the blog-o-sphere. In short, develop quality organic traffic by building interesting content and creating interest (marketing) to attract visitors.

Much of the best advice you can find is right here at Squidoo, either as guidelines for building a great lens or in lenses built by the most giant of the Giant Squids. You can search for marketing tips, or check out groups that focus on lens development and making money on Squidoo as well.
