So rather than explain to you what I'm talking about, I'm just going to go over some tips that will help make you page stand out. It goes without saying that if you're page stands out among searches, then you'll be sure to get a top spot among search results.

With more than two Billion in existence, and thousands being created everyday, you may have to shout a little louder than everyone else to get your page to be noticed.

As I was saying on my sales page, people (Search Engine Optimization Companies) charge you tons of money to promise you that your page will increase in traffic because of their services. However more than often their slimy techniques annoy potential visitors and get you removed from search engines.

What I'm about to show you is exactly what they would do for you. You can do this job yourself and in some instances even better without them.

If you don't know HTML tags or HTML, get a book that will show you the different aspects of using HTML. This will be helpful%u2026TRUST ME!!

About Keywords

When prospective visitors go to a search engine to find information, they type a few identifying keywords that describe what they're looking for. The more those words are reflected on your page, the better your chances are that your page will appear in a search engine's result.

So it'll be a good idea that before you start writing your page to consider:
%u2022 What your page is about
%u2022 What are some good keywords
%u2022 How to use those words consistently in your page

Believe it or not there are some free tools out there that will allow you to search what are some good keywords associated with other words. Use these tools to help figure out what are good keywords to include in your webpage.

Ensure also the following:
%u2022 Use Keywords in Headers & HTML title
%u2022 Keep the content of your page as specific and focused on your topic as possible
%u2022 Specify keywords in a meta tag
%u2022 Use Keywords in an images alt tag where applicable

Listing Keywords Explicitly

You can tell search engines exactly what your page is about by specifying a list of relevant words.

Provide a Description of Your page

Search engines try to help visitors distinguish between results by adding the information about the individual pages next to their URL's.

Submitting to Search Engines

Once you have carefully used keywords and added meta tags, you'll want to invite a search engine to visit your site in order to add your pages to its database.

1. To do so, just connect to the search engine of your choice, find the add URL link, or Submit your site link and follow the instruction.

Way 2 - Submit simple articles that include links to your website

People ten to read something, especially if they can get it free! So you can use that to your advantage.

The answer is quite simply to create a very simple report or an article related to the subject matter of your website. In the article you insert the following:

1. Write something that will capture their interest almost immediately.
2. Offer them something for free for clicking over to your site. (Maybe a free report or how to do something) - Anything to get them to click over to your site
3. Of course your site information and maybe your contact information.
a. Put your telephone number. People won't call, but if they see your number, then they tend to see you as a real person and can back up what you're saying by putting down your contact info. b. Put your email down. Tell me, if you saw Michael@PrivateAtmMachine.com or Michael@yahoo.com, which one would, you tend to associate with a real company? I'd say the first one. It's very easy to get an email such as that one. All you do is go sign up for a domain name that will give you an email name with your domain extension, but will forward all your emails to your regular address. A perfect example is using Yahoo Domain services. More than often Yahoo offers their users to sign up for Domain name for just $1.99/yr. If it's not on the home page of if it's being advertised for $9.99/yr, search for it.

You'll find it somewhere I guarantee unless they just straight out stopped that special. You must have a yahoo user name

Way 3 - Use Online Auction Features

I'm going to share something with you that other people are being charged as much as $200 to find out. You can generate traffic to your website if you are running auctions.

I promised that I'll show you FREE ways to get traffic to your website. I'm not telling you to go and create auctions. No! But if you are auctioning off something or think this is a great way for you to get traffic, then make an investment.

Whenever I've raised traffic by this means, it only cost me $0.85 to start an auction on eBay.

But let's go more into how you can build traffic through your auction.

If you've used eBay before, and chances are you have, they you have an About Me Page just sitting there. Maybe you're using it; maybe you're not! May I tell you that you have to start using it to raise traffic to you site.

Here's how it works!! Depending on what you auction off, you get Hits to your auction listing. I've seen people get as much as 560 Hits. What does that mean? So What?

Well, you can turn those Hits into Traffic. Just imagine if your website were to get 560 Hits in 7 Days (full length of your auction). Now to assume that everyone of those hits were to click over to your site would be a bit presumptuous, nonetheless, if you would get just a quarter of that, then that's a high number of Hits still - for free that you would have waisted anyway if you didn't know what I'm about to show you!

So now the question is "How do I get those Hits to my site?"

The author who came up with this idea is Jim Cockrum and he wrote a book (Silent Sales Machine hiding on eBay) as well as completed an Interview with Louis Allport recorded in a ebook (Secret eBay Marketing).

If you have the money and only if you do, I'd suggest buying the Silent Sales Machine hiding on eBay where Jim goes in much detail about using eBay to get free Traffic. However if you only have $19.97, I think you can figure out from the Interview just what Jim was saying in His book the Silent Sales Machine hiding on eBay.

Way 4 - Using Free friends hosting SITES to your advantage

Oh the magic of Sites that allows Friends to be connected to one another online. Maybe you've heard about sites like

%u2022 Facebook
%u2022 Much more online%u2026

The one thing that these have in common is that they allow people from around the globe to network with any and anybody. While people see this as being bad due to fraudulent activities, this has proven to be worthwhile really.

Let's take Myspace for example. What I've been able to do is setup a free account where I put up pictures of my ebook that I'm selling. But I don't try to sell my ebook there. What I do is offer any one who has visits my profile a free demo or that free article that we talked about earlier on.

With giving them a free article, I do my best to ensure that they like it and that they click over to my website. I outline the main points of my ebook and even more importantly how having my book will benefit them.

If it turns out that people like it, it will spread like wild fire.

Way 5 - Other Miscellaneous means on the WEB

I'm sure you've done some searches on the web for FREE Traffic. If you haven't then I'll go over some worthwhile means to get Traffic to your site for FREE using these means.

First of all, let's talk about auto surf programs. If you do a search for auto surf programs you'll soon begin to realize that they PAY you to surf programs. But don't fall for that catch. There's a clause in that:

They want you to invest a certain amount of money. To get paid you'll have to surf so many sites in one day, earning you money everyday. But you're not guaranteed to be paid when the time for payout arrives. I got caught trying this out and boy was I STUPID for doing this!

But on the flip side these auto surf programs can prove to be useful. These auto surf programs allow you to create a free account surfing a daily number of sites on an auto-surfer rotator and in return you get credits. You can then use those credits for your site to placed on the auto surf rotator that the previous sites you viewed were placed on.

I hope that I have revealed to you that it is possible to bring traffic to your website for FREE.

Even though, I am not convinced that I have adequately shown you in full-detail how I have brought free traffic.

Website traffic proves to be an extremely difficult task for webmasters looking to get the word out about their site. I bet almost all webmasters would agree that their site would be successful or their idea would generate a ton of money if only they had enough web traffic. Well today is your lucky day because after you learn these five tips you will be on your way to generating web traffic to your site so you can make money or provide your visitors with what they want and expect from visiting your site.

Tip #1: Article Marketing
To generate traffic to your site write a minimum of 300 word articles that explain your site and how it will benefit the visitor or if you are selling a product set up the article to provide advice or techniques similar to those explained or facilitated through your product. After your articles are written, submit them to article directories (like ezinearticles.com, goarticles.com, articlesbase.com). You should write at least 5 articles initially then follow up with an article a day for the highest level of efficiency or at least a new article a week.

Tip #2: Backlink Building
Getting links on sites outside of your own is a strong way to move up search rankings which subsequently leads to traffic increases. There are services such as those on submitedge.com that will submit your site to link directories to get links built up, but keep in mind that a ton of links in a short period may cause search engines to penalize your site's rank for link spam.

Search for websites similar to your own and propose a link exchange to their webmaster because search engines love when similar sites link to each other. Also, type in Google "link:fullURLofcompetitorssite" replacing "competitorssite" with the address of top sites for your site's topic on Google to see what sites link to them. Once you see what sites have links leading to a competitor's site, seek to get links on those sites as well, copy the competition and do better.

Tip #3: Search Engine Optimization
This is the best method for those without a budget who want to get traffic without spending a lot of money or using services to submit your site to an assortment of directories. The first thing is to set up meta tags on your site. Search Google for a meta tag generator and make sure you use targeted keywords in your description, title and keyword tags in your html head.

Once that is done seek to have 5-7% of your site's content including targeted keywords, this is known as your page's keyword density. Follow tip #1 and tip #2 which will boost your website's rank along with bringing in traffic. This is a time consuming method but once you get on page one of Google, your site will have countless traffic.

Tip #4: Social Bookmarking
This is a relatively new method of obtaining web traffic and can be extremely effective when done correctly. There are a variety of sites that provide "social bookmarks." Social bookmarks are simply enough when a visitor to your site likes your sites content and goes to a social bookmarking site (like digg.com, del.icio.us, etc.) and they tag your site's content with keywords in which others can then find your site through that tag.

The best thing to do to get social bookmark tags from visitors is to place bookmark scripts to your site which can be obtained at the Digg website and addthis.com for delicious bookmark buttons. Your site can initially be submitted to Digg.com yourself and to many other social bookmarks through onlywire.com, which is a site that allows you to submit your site to a dozen or more social bookmarking sites.

Tip #5: Pay-Per-Click Advertising
The last tip of the article is paying for web traffic. This can be very expensive, but if done correctly can produce revenue far beyond your advertising costs. The leader in PPC advertising is Google AdWords. AdWords allows users to set up a small ad set up around keywords that are displayed as sponsored links when a user searches for a topic on Google. Keep in mind that the higher your budget the more traffic you will get, and that low budgets make it very difficult for your ad to produce conversions.

Secondly, keep in mind that extremely broad keywords likely have a lot of competition for ad slots and would be very expensive, so seek to have highly targeted, tightly targeted keyword phrases that target visitors that have the highest potential of becoming customers.
