I'm selling my house, Cévennes, South of France

Ranked #21,575 in Travel & Places, #491,917 overall

In the Cévennes mountains and not too far from the Mediterranean

My house is for sale, 168 000 Euro. It is in a hamlet in a vale in a picturesque part of the Cévennes at the foot of Mount Aigoual, near UNESCO World Heritage "Cirque de Navacelles" and less than 60 miles (80 kms) north of the Mediterranean.

The nearest city is Montpellier, 50 miles away (75 kms).

10 miles away we have a small town which offers all you need, including two supermarkets, a cinema, plenty of doctors and chemist's shops.

My hamlet is called Estelle, which is Old French for "star".

My house and garden

My house is a semi-detached with a big garden in the rear and side bordered by a stream.

Near the terrace there's a lime tree (Tilia) which can be seen near the top of my Squidoo lens, and further off there are two walnut trees.

There are other trees and a good variety of plants. More on this later...

Intérieur de la maison

De la cave au grenier

La maison comprend une partie nouvelle et une partie ancienne.

L'une des deux entrées est accessible de plain-pied et en voiture.

La superficie d'habitation est de 90m2 sur deux niveaux:
- Niveau 1:
* cuisine avec un large balcon qui permet d'y manger
* une petite salle de bain
* une grande chambre
* salon ouvrant de plain-pied sur la terrasse (ombragée par un tilleul l'été) et sur le jardin

- Niveau 2
* Un bel espace au deuxième étage en pierres apparentes est à finir d'aménager

- Sous la maison, garage et grande cave voûtée non enterrés.

Time now for me to move from Estelle, so I'm selling my house.
I've been living in the Cevennes for many years.
