Ranked #12,145 in Education, #267,196 overall

Passionate kissing is a wonderful way for two people to show the feelings they have for each other. Besides that, the lips and tongue are a few of the main erogenous zones on the body. A great kiss simply feels amazing.

On the flip side of that, a bad French kiss can be an awful experience.

The good news is that with the right guidance, you can easily learn to be an amazing kisser! On this lens you'll find a large collection of French kissing techniques and information.

French Kissing "Do's"

Have Fresh Breath and Smooth Lips
Since someone is going to be putting their tongue in your mouth, you definitely want to make sure it's nice and clean. Make sure you brush and floss, use mouthwash, and have a breath mint handy. Nice white teeth don't hurt either.

Dry, chapped lips are no good for kissing. Keep a tube of un-medicated chapstick handy as well.

Chose The Perfect Moment
If this is the first kiss with this particular person you want to make sure they are ready. You can read their body language and see if they are smiling and having a great time, touching you frequently, or making up excuses to be alone with you.

Start With a Close-Mouthed Kiss
If you think they are ready, lean forward and give a close-mouthed kiss. If your partner responds well, open your mouth slightly and kiss them some more.

Use Your Tongue
Now that you are kissing with an open mouth, it is time to take it to the next level. Gently touch your partner's tongue with yours. Tongues are very sensitive so this should be very pleasurable for both of you.

Just like dancing, you'll want to respond to your partner's movements. Keep your touch light and soft.

Use Your Hands
You can't just leave your hands at your sides. Grab onto your partner to let them know you enjoy being kissed by them.

You can put your hands on their back, neck, and face (as long as the position doesn't feel to awkward).

Follow Their Cues
As mentioned earlier, French kissing is a lot like dancing. Follow your partner's cues. If they pull away or seem uncomfortable you might want to slow it down. If they moan or hold you tighter then you definitely want to keep it up.

French Kissing "Don'ts"

Don't Smoke
This really applies if the person you are kissing doesn't smoke. To them it will feel like licking an ashtray. Gross.

Don't Be Nervous
Nervousness does not portray confidence and can make your partner uncomfortable. If you start getting nervous, force yourself to breathe and relax.

Don't Grope
While you do need to use your hands during kissing, they shouldn't be going to places where they are not wanted yet. This can really ruin the kiss, and make you look like an idiot.

Don't Slobber
French kissing does involve tongue and mouth. You might notice it getting a little wet. Don't be afraid to pull back for a few moments to swallow any extra saliva. Your partner will appreciate it.

Don't Rush
Kissing should be slowly savored and enjoyed. Don't treat it as the build-up to a main event. The best kissers take their time. They act like they could kiss all day and nothing would make them happier.
