Whether or not you are planning to relocate to Provence, it is worthy of a visit in your life time, at the least. The region of Provence is the most enchanting regions of all the provinces of France.
The busy life of Paris and French Riviera seems like a couple of light years away as you enjoy a large cup of hot coffee or a glass of wine in the tranquil cute town on a green hilltop just outside the suburbs in Provence, probably an hour's drive from the centre of a crowded city.

Villas in France and second homes in the favourite region of Provence are dreams of many. Property in the country rural region is quite adequately priced than in many regions of France, which is a prime reason for French buyers looking for a suitable dwelling from all over the country for alternative homes.
The serene country living and the rustic lifestyle are the prominent factors for folks from all along the France coast, looking for a quiet place. For example many people from the four busy corners of France are interested in the properties of secluded Alpes Maritimes department of south eastern France and even a few foreigners are looking for property in the area, although they may be not many.
A major number of rural townships have community houses partitioned into apartments, many of which have wonderful balconies and fantastic views of sea and mountains. A lush beautiful apartment may boast of a 64 square foot terrace with stunning mountain views. Accommodations can be found for as little as 70,000 dollars but that will not buy you much space and on the higher side it can go up to 90,000 dollars and even higher for private cottages.
Much bigger properties and real estate can be found on the outskirts of a township, frequently in the shape of Alpine-style chalets and farmhouses constructed in stone and wood. Prices are not cheap and for the folks who would like to take a challenge, there is the opportunity of buying an old bergerie (stone sheep barn) and restore it to heart's desire by converting it into a gorgeous rustic barn that showcases the contemporary grandeur and comfort in rustic charm.
Of course there aren't that many original barns left, so prices have to be expensive. People know what they are seeking and many of them are looking for genuine houses, they don't mind paying for authentic farmhouses that can provide complete seclusion and serenity.

- As a Mediterranean, I surely prefer the warm light of French South to the grey skies of Northern France. And I like Provencal furniture too -- so practical and robust.
Ok, Paris is fine too. But I would never queue up to get on the Eiffel Tower; instead, I prefered the Ferris Wheel outside Louvre. Great view of the city.

- of course a country is not just what the tourist guides show you....the guides and agencies show only the places where your wallet can be drained.....always remember that...if you want to see a country search for places that are not in the guides.......most people do not get that.......
