French Film Festival
Every year - for the past five years - Alliance Francaise de Greenwich has organized a French Film Festival ("Focus on French Cinema") at the Performing Arts Center at Purchase College, NY. The festival takes place in the Spring and has notable guests including many famous French directors, actors, and producers.
Focus on French Cinema 2009 took place the first weekend in April with special guest of honor Sophie Marceau.

Interning for Focus on French Cinema
Spring 2009
As an Arts Management Major at Purchase College, one of the requirements to graduate is taking an on-campus internship. I had heard of the French Film Festival from my Freshman year but did not know enough information to attend. While speaking to the Advising Center, an academic adviser told me to contact the Cinema Studies department to get more information about who runs the festival. Through the Cinema Studies and French departments, I was able to get in touch with one of the women from Alliance Francaise.I worked directly under Catherine Laleuf - one of the members on the executive board. Her major role in the festival was organizing the extravagant and lovely opening night gala. All semester, as I worked towards the festival, a major part of my duties were devoted to helping with many of the logistics involved in producing the gala.
Focus on French Cinema 2009 Promo Shoot
As intern for Alliance Francaise de Greenwich this spring, part of my job was to market the festival to the students on campus. To do this, I decided to produce a promotional video that could be viewed online. Here are a collection of photos taken at the promotional shoot filmed by Purchase College filmmaker (and my friend) Mattson Tomlin [http://mattsontomlin.blogspot.com/] and starring Purchase College dancer Katrina Cunningham.
