How To Get Fresh Christmas Trees From A Farm To Your Home?

Once the tree is cut, you have to bring it home immediately. Fresh Christmas trees should not be exposed to the outside elements for long hours, as this can cause them to wilt easily. But before putting the tree on your car, you have to wrap it. This is to protect the needles and the branches. The needles and branches will not break if they are wrapped. You can use a net to wrap the tree. In wrapping it, you have to be extra careful. Make sure that all the branches are within the net so that none would be broken during the transportation.
Place the tree in the car in a manner that the needles will be protected. Make sure to put it in a spacious area and if you are to use an open truck, you have to tie the tree securely. As you go along the way, you can encounter some strong winds which can damage the tree if it is not tied securely. Thus, you have to tie the trunk as well as the whole tree.
When you had arrived home, you can either put the tree inside or store it first in a cool dry place. Before putting it in your living room, shake it a bit so that loose needles will fall. And again, be very careful when placing it in the indoors. Do not remove the wrap yet because it might be too large for your door. Remove the wrap once you had brought it in your living room.
Fresh Christmas Trees need water and so you have to place the tree in a stand or bucket filled with water. If you had traveled for a long distance, there might be a need for you to cut an inch of the trunk so that pores will be open. This is because if the trunk is exposed to air for several hours, its pores will close, thus, water will not be absorb. Therefore, in order for the tree to absorb water, the base of the trunk must be cut.
