- I was looking for hints on how to trim my daughter's bangs & found a lens that helped me. Later that day I was searching for info again and saw "squidoo" in the web address. Already curious, I checked it out & knew immediately that this was something I could do.

- I was surfing the net and read someone's lens and I thought what the heck is a Lens?? I had never heard of Squidoo and I wish I could remember whose lens it was that got me hooked- but I'm thinking it was something by potpiegirl.

- A co-worker pointed me in the direction of Squidoo and said I could make some pretty great lenses because of all my parrots I have. My first choice was to do it on galahs, my favorites!

- Actually I heard about Squidoo via an online advertisement for an e-book written by a lady who goes by the name of potpiegirl. Once I checked out Squidoo, I was hooked.

- Pictures! Getting the pictures I needed, and then getting them where I wanted to be on the lens. Pictures are still the hardest part of putting a lens together for me!

- Hardest thing I think is trying to get traffic to your lenses.

- Where to start and how to make a quality page people actually would read and or want to know about. I ended up using the forums and reading the same questions that other people had and using free short tips from other users and pages.

- I too like the community aspect. It is also a way for me to hone my writing skills. I also spend a lot less time shopping now, which is great for my pocket book:)

- I like that it's an actual community and not just random pages... but you can experience feedback and pages like this one, help you expand and feel good about what you've created.

- I have enjoyed this lens and answering your questions.
My advice for graduates is to "have fun squidooing!"
My tip: Please remember to submit any new pet or animal lenses that you create to my lenses and groups. This will help you get noticed and receive more traffic! You can submit every animal lens that you create (that comply to the rules)
My favourite two lenses at the moment are:
HTML Examples and Backgrounds
Squidoo CSS - my favorite code to spice up a lens
They have really helped me out with ways to improve the look of my lenses & groups
