No, squidoo is one of the easiest formats I've ever found for creating really great web pages!

The downsides to navigating squidoo: Alas, I have no clone to read all the wonderful lenses out there that I know I am missing, nor sow the seeds of ideas that evaporate in the morning light.
    AND
I have yet to reconcile this opportunity for pure creativity with the agenda of promotion, be it for self of charity, it gives me a headache :)

I didn't find it too difficult to set up my first lens but I've learned a lot since then. As for other aspects I'm still finding stuff I didn't know about.

I'm still confused about how to get royalties. I earned a tiny bit that seems to have automatically been donated to charity. I do like to donate to charity, but I like to choose to do it. :D

Squidoo was easy to get around for me, but the sheer volume of information was overwhelming.

It has certainly sated my addiction for correcting typos (see: Fulfilled :) and has blown the doors off my craving for creativity. Expectations? I really walked through the door with curiosity, so let's just keep the expectancy.

That's a bit difficult because I arrived looking at Squidoo as a way to make money. If I'm being honest I think I could have made money more quickly in other ways but I now look at Squidoo as a longer term project. Plus, of course, it gets addictive - and is enjoyable in it's own right.

I must admit that I had no expectations for Squidoo going in.

Ask not what Squidoo can do for you, but what you can do for Squidoo

...hmmm... sounds like the start of another lens... gotta go do that...

That there really is a wonderful community full of creative, helpful and friendly people on the Internet...and they all live at Squidoo!

I have "listened" to people open up their wounds and their hearts. I have seen folks' heads crack wide open and I've gobbled up all their delicious ideas and notions. I've asked myself some challenging questions. I've been blessed, rated, rolled and faved, and offered kudos in kind.

I've learned a lot about some technical stuff from clever folks with a way of wording that doesn't make me want to bang my head on the desk repeatedly, nor reduce me to a drooling zombie entrenched in code.
But most of all I've learned that you have to put it out there, to swim with the other squids in the ocean. And with that, I'm off to work on that lens I've been procrastinating!
    Thanks you guys!

The first thing is that there is a lot more to Squidoo than making money. I thoroughly enjoy the experience.

On a success level I see that you have to put yourself about a bit: forum, commenting, working at getting links and so on. Effort is needed.

I've learned to talk about myself! LOL! I have more fun when I give myself permission to do that, and my Kerridwen Henry lens seems to be more popular than any of my other lenses.

I'll be modest and pick one of my own because it means a lot to me.

The lens is: World War 2 Photos.

I've chosen this one because I'm 100% against any glorification of war. The photos are ones I found when an old relative died. They show London bomb damage with St. Pauls Cathederal in the background.

There is also a letter from the war office that I find very emotional. It informs my aunt that her fiance was presumed dead - she never married and remained single throughout her life.

We should never forget that war is horrific.
