    before you create your own lens MAKE SURE you read other peoples lens, then while you are own it try to rate and favourite the ones you like,then make lots of friedss
    dont forget to join the groups too

    Don't be overwhelmed with the features and how different it is from blogsites. Squidoo's unique design and features are actually designed to help people like us to have a nice and informative page where you can add anything from videos, related links, blogs, merchandise, reader feedback, polls and many more.

    The first may not be awesome, but you can always go back and edit. It will be a very fun learning experience to get used to making lenses. Who knows, you might later find yourself making a new lens more often than you intended.

    Lastly, do your homework. Research and read lenses made by people who are more experienced in Squidoo. Observe their techniques and learn how to apply it in your own lens.

    I think the best way to start is by first reading some of the lenses written by others. Next, get to know some of the lensmakers and find yourself a good mentor. Have them help with your first lens. Write about things you know and love. And don't forget to have fun with it!

    I think the best way to start is to get right in there and try and make a simple lens, it's much easier to understand how squidoo works when you start building. It really pays off to spend time looking at some of the top rated lenses, reading the how-to guides and talking to other newbies on the forum. Be prepared to make lots of changes as you learn what works well and what doesn't.

    Also don't get too focused on lensrank or making money, just try to make the best lens you can and the rest will follow.
