Fresh Squids Are Committed to Learning!
Everyone of us, in every aspect of our lives, had to start from somewhere. Same thing is with Squidoo. We all came here and had to learn some new stuff to get our lenses to look great!
Same applies to these Fresh Squids. They came to Squidoo to share with all of us a bit of their knowledge, passions, dreams, etc. In process of learning many of them had a courage to ask for help and wisdom to listen and learn from those who are here longer then they are.
Fresh Squid group is one of resources on Squidoo committed to help newcomers by a little guidance and promotion.

- Curiosity at first, then I realized what a great learning tool it was. Also, it's an awesome outlet for creativity, and just plain fun putting lenses together. I only have 3 lenses so far, but I've already earned a little money, and been able to donate a bit. I plan on making more lenses as soon as I can free up some time.

- I found Squidoo by accident, and have been stuck on it since. It's a great way to learn, and so much fun! I've had some great response so far, and hoping for more. Everyone is so helpful!

- I still struggle with keeping my lenses at a high ranking. They shot way up when I first started, but it seems that they have been continuously decreasing ever since.

- Squidoo is VERY user-friendly and down to earth. The community is great and you learn a whole heck of a lot from reading other people's lenses - some of which I would never have learned about otherwise.

- Some of the others already said this, but don't focus purely on your own work. You get much more out of Squidoo by reading other people's lenses and being active in the community.

- To take the time and read through other lens. There's a lot of treasure, and talent, in these lenses.

- I have learned that I was right in the first place. Art can be found anywhere. Self expression is about a vision, the media which one uses to scream at the world through, just depends on the glasses they wear.

- There are way too many great lenses out there to pick just one. My personal favorite of my own work though would be http://www.squidoo.com/Sequoia-National-Park

- a_willow is to be commended for all she does to help out people who are just getting started on Squidoo. There is a lot of "ME-ME-ME" going on in the world these days and it's nice to see someone who focuses so much on helping others.

- I think the best advice is to look for groups to join. I didn't even know about the Fresh Squid group when I first joined. I didn't join a group until I had about 18 lenses later.
