No that picture is not me. I'm prettier. That's an image off of my website. Periodically I will replace my image just for kicks and giggles, but mostly for kicks.
I'm a huge fan of creativity or Fresh media. That's why I run a stock footage company, stockshotsnow.com, that specializes in fresh footage of people, places and things. I also love user generated video ie. youtube. Therefore, I've started this lens to share with you different videos I find on the web that I think will either make you laugh, educate or inspire creativity. My lens should be especially interesting to creative people like myself.
The videos that you will find on my lens are on here for at least one of three reasons. First, the video is a visual and creative masterpiece. Second, the video is neither a visual nor a creative masterpiece nor a masterpiece of any kind, but the creator sure is trying hard. When people try hard they often make me laugh. And third, if something I find is just flat out funny then I want to share it with you.

Michael Bay FiOS Commercial
Internet speeds are catching up.
Fiber optic internet is something I've experienced and it is great. The technology is "Awesome." It helps me be able to run a stock footage company, stockshotsnow.com, where I have to upload over 100 gigs of content per month sometimes. For that reason I thought this was a cool commercial. My experience has been that the technology of Fiber optic Internet and television is great, but until now it has been offered by small startups that are new to the industry and thus the service has been poor. Now, Verizon is offering it on a large scale and has just launched a big marketing campaign. You can see their first in a series of commercials that they will be doing below. My top 10 Stock Footage Sites
There are actually only 7
- Thought Equity Motion, thoughtequity.com. This is a great stock footage site. They know the industry very well and have good quality content. If you go here do a search by owner and check out my content. You can find my content by typing (owner: "stockshotsnow.com") in the search box. Don't type the ().
- AlwaysHD.com - This is a great site for ONLY HD footage. They give out a fair number of free clips and it is all royalty free and downloadable stock footage. This means you can use the footage more than once.
- StockShotsNow.com - This is my site. I put it at number three so that I sound unbiased and because it is smaller than the other ones I've listed. My site is all royalty free at this point. Since it is not as big as the others searching can be nice and selling your own footage is great because you don't have as many clips to compete with. StockShotsNow.com also has many talent released hi-def clips. You can also get FREE stock footage research done here.
- Creatas.com - This is a good market place to find various libraries. My content will soon be here as well and you can purchase some of the Creatas content on my site, StockShotsNow.com.
- Fotosearch.com - This is a good market place to find various libraries. My content will soon be here as well.
- Artbeats.com - This is the place where we usually go to for stock footage when we don't have what we need in our own library. We will have our content available here in March.
- GettyImages.com - I'm hesitant to put this here because they are not as friendly to work with as are the other sites I've associated with, but they have a great site. If you don't find what you need on my site, StockShotsNow.com let me know what stock footage you are looking for and I will find it for you somewhere.

Start out by becoming familiar with www.homestarrunner.com. You may have already seen this website. This is an inspiring site to me because it has created a culture. The producers have created a fan base that comes back at least weakly. After gaining a fan base they were able to start making lots of money without selling advertising. This guy is worth checking out.
I'm not sure what you'll think of this guy. I wasn't sure what to think at first. Youtube seems to love him so I decided to check him out. He just rambles about his thoughts on life and how he loves you tube, but he is very likable and funny. It's a subtle humor.
The man has posted 100 youtube videos all of himself talking. One of his videos has recieved nearly 3,000,000 views.
