Frida Kahlo Jewelry and Clothing

Frida Kahlo was a painter from Mexico who captured scenes of the culture of her country with a unique surrealistic symbolism. But she is perhaps best known for her brutally honest self-portraits. Her troubled marriage to artist Diego Rivera and a horrific accident which left her in constant pain and unable to bear children cast a dark shadow over her deeply soulful self-portraits. Her work is still highly respected and highly collectible, and she remains a symbol of strength, beauty, sexual freedom, and creative expression to this day. She has, in some people's opinion, surpassed her late husband in terms of fame and popularity; something she never achieved while she was alive.
