Question....

What do fried twinkies and bucking bulls have in common?

Bull riders.

The book Fried Twinkies, Buckle Bunnies, and Bull Riders isn't just a source of the "ultimate" recipe for fried twinkies, in this book the author Josh Peter looks at the sport of professional bull riding. (On www.friedtwinkies.com there is also an on-going blog about the life surrounding the sport.)

I work with a woman that considers herself an animal rights activists, and we see eye to eye on nearly ever subject we discuss when it comes to animals. Except one. She hates rodeo. I love the rodeo. When she tried to convince me that rodeo is cruel, I told her that if I was going to feel sorry for any creature involved in rodeo, it would be the bull rider.

She didn't really appreciate that humor.

So, I didn't invite her to the rodeo when it came into town.

And here is the book on Amazon.com....

About AnnaleeBlysse

I try to check out the rodeo at least a few times a year. Don't you think it is more fun in person than on TV?
