Into The Friend Zone
Ranked #482 in Relationships & Family, #64,892 overall
This reminds me of a chat dialogue I just found in the internet:
Guy: Can we be more than just friends?
Girl: Sure, bestfriends! :)
Guy: No, I mean more than that.
Girl: OK, Super bestfriends :D

Now Here's My Story
when I got into the friend zone
So much for an introduction so yeah I had an experience on that some years ago. So here's my story and it doesn't bother me whenever I remember it since it happened a long time ago and I'm alright now. This happened in 2006 when I was on my first year in college and I was 16 that time. I had a crush on a girl who happened to be my classmate who we will named Xandra. She was the type of girl I liked during that time--you know, smart, nice, friendly... So, I wasn't that competent when it comes to courting so I just made friends with her. For the next months we spent time together--as friends. We helped each other in some academic subjects we had a hard time, shared some assignments, shared some stories, walked home as the day ended. Just like friends.
Maybe I was taken to much for the steps I learned from what I learned from relationship in highschool. The friendship, dating, courting, marriage thing (oh I can't remember much now), but I remained somehow in friendship since I wasn't that confident to move to the next level that time probably due to I wasn't that mature enough that time.
So back to our story, after a few months I couldn't keep the feelings and I started to express some of them to her. Then one day, she confronted me and told me that her feelings on me couldn't be more than just friends...
I remember that it was a week before Valentines day and I was so sad that time. I even managed to write a poem that time. I was so sad I think it took me a month or two to recover from the sadness.
But I guess somehow that that's how things were meant to be. And we still remained to be friends even after that crisis (haha :P). I remember during those sad days I was jealous with the guys she dated, thinking they all looked like jerks (actually the really looked like one.. haha I'm bad). But that was just silly hahaha..
Sometimes when I think of this I would just remember how funny I was during that time.. Well that's just part of growing up. Nothing to regret from that since I also learned from that.
:)
Get Some Help
The Art of Letting go
just another poem
Even though I know there is no hope,
For being with the girl I love most.
Why is it difficult to cut the rope,
Not accepting that I had lost.
Why do I keep on holding on,
And keep on bearing the pain.
Now that everything is gone,
I am starting to feel insane.
Please, Oh Love another chance will you give me,
Stop the pain of this bleeding heart.
Help me set the girl I love free,
That I may move on and start.
I want to love again,
After this pain of letting go.
Like the way I loved Xandra,
That I may do so.
ooh drama .. haha actually the last line was a filler because I can't think of a rhyme :D
When two friends fall in love they learn they
are meant for each other.
When they fall out of love they
realize they want to keep each other forever.

- Oh I didn't know that 'friend zone' is the term for loving someone who wants you as a friend only. Now I know because of this lens, thanks for sharing. :)
