Equally compelling to die for is the 2011 Friday Night Movie Theme Song, "No One Believes Me" by Kid Cudi. Punctuated by signature Hitchcock Psycho riffs, Kid Cudi's languid processed voice exudes a creepy eeriness that exemplifies the raw tension and uneasiness that carries through the movie.
Cudi never having done movie music before, let alone a theme song for a vampire horror flick was adamant that he not come up with just any cheezy track and the result is a composition with simple piano fill-ins complemented by violin set to the tempo of a slow music drag. In an interview with MTV, Cudi goes on to exude one of the few things he has in common with vampires is his body clock being set to stay up all night.
It's the summer of Colin Farrell and for those of us who felt gypped by the lovely Irishman's less than cover boy looks in Horrible Bosses can at least erase the ugly memory of Farrell's bad comb over and enjoy him instead as the ultimate bad boy in the 2011 Fright Night Movie coming out Friday, August 19, 2011.
The 2011 Soundtrack to Fright Night 3D features 20 songs by composer Ramin Djawadi who also scored Game of Thrones, Clash of the Titans, Iron Man, Mr. Brooks and Prison Break.

For the summer of 2011, it seems like the song that wouldn't quit was "Pumped Up Kicks" by Foster the People. This L.A. indie band worked this hit all summer right into the fall kicked off by a performance at SXSW along with appearances on shows like Letterman, Craig Ferguson and Saturday Night Live as introduced by Ben Stiller who was hosting, promoting his crime caper movie with Eddie Murphy Tower Heist.
