Children love to jump. This morning in storytime (that had nothing to do with frogs), a pod of storytime children magically turn into jumping frogs. (The storytime room is a magical place.) So of course we had add an "I'm in the mood for jumping" verse to Raffi's song I'm in the Mood.

Little Green Frog is a camp song. Young children have a hard time with the connecting the "Mmmm, mmm blahs" and actions, so we chang the song to Gat goon. For actions, close eyes and fists at shoulder level for "gat" and open eyes and fists for "goon." Do a dance for the la di da di da's.See the video for the basic tune.

- Foamy Frog
- Children can make a fun foam frog that sticks out it's tongue (party noise maker).
- Frog Puppet
- A fun paper frog puppet with retractile tongue (wooden popsicle stick painted red).
- DLTK's Frog Craft for Kids
- Frog toilet paper roll craft. Note while this craft calls for toilet paper rolls, they're not the most sanitary of crafting supplies. Instead, use gift rap rolls or paper towel rolls cut down to size.
- Frog with Noise Maker Tongue
- A foam frog that uses a noise maker for the frog's tongue.
- Frog on a Lily Pad
- Scroll down to the bottom for directions to make a foam and paper frog on a lily pad craft. Use the frog template from Frog with Noise Maker Tongue (above).

- Get some green paper plates and fold them in half, add eyes on the top and glue a paper bug inside the fold (frog's mouth) for an easy craft.
