Even though many of Frontier's bushcraft training courses take place in easily-accessible country areas, the emphasis is very much on training in wilderness bushcraft skills. No matter whether you intend to use your skills in your local woods or further abroad, the bushcraft skills taught are relevant and tested in the real world.

All of the course leaders have experience of applying their skills, knowledge and judgement in wild places. This brings a level of experience and realism to Frontier's training that is hard to find elsewhere.

Not only that, because Frontier Bushcraft runs expeditions in wild and remote parts of the world, the company's instructors often come into contact with people who use bushcraft as a major part of their daily lives. They can bring back to the bushcraft courses a sensibility, practicality and philosophy of using these skills for real, of living by them and depending upon them.

The Frontier Expedition philosophy is straightforward and consistent. The major part of each Frontier Expedition involves making a real wilderness journey, while learning, applying and consolidating bushcraft skills relevant to the environment.
