Everything you do in FrontierVille requires energy. Now I have to mention that obviously you have a limited amount of energy. So using your energy correctly is required, if you want to be successful.

Not only that, but when you first start out you don't have a lot of energy. As you level, your energy amount will go up. However, this means that in the beginning what you do with the little energy you have is really important!

You can also eat meals to restore your energy! You can buy food items at the marketplace, they aren't free though! Your energy is also replenished by one every three minutes. Energy is also refilled by leveling up, which makes leveling up a worthwhile goal.

In the beginning, you'll want to level up a lot to replenish your energy.

The best way to level-up is by completing your goals, or your missions. These are displayed as an icon in the upper left of your screen. This means that your best use of your energy is to achieve these goals, level up, then get it replenished for free.

Now your task, for example, would be to feed your three pigs. Don't feed them until you get a goal telling you to do so. Otherwise you'll have to wait until they are hungry again to complete your goal, which wastes your time and energy.

When you do these mini-tasks like harvesting Tomatoes, you receive rewards. You gain a little bit of experience. You'll also often receive coins which you can use to purchase stuff at the marketplace. If you chop down trees, which should be an early goal, you'll receive wood which you can use to build yourself a cabin or other things.

Also if you are working with animals or plants, you'll receive food. Food allows you to buy meals, which replenish your energy.
