It is important to be efficient in this game. This is a game of resources, your primary resource is energy. You don't want to waste your energy doing tasks that will only benefit you a little. Wasting your energy is the thing that will make you bad at the game. To get good you have to use your energy the right way.

Now when I say use your energy to benefit you the most, that is exactly what I mean. Yet this can be difficult to do, it requires foresight. You have to look into what you will be needing next, and make sure you have the resources to achieve that.

For example. Say you have planted some wheat, make sure you'll have the energy to collect it again in one hour (not sure about the time). If you don't collect it in that time, it will whither and your investment of both energy and coins will be wasted! This is very bad, you have to plan well to avoid this from happening!

This hint/tip is really important! Stick to your goals! Don't go out of your way and waste energy on anything that isn't a goal!

Now this isn't set in stone, if you have to do something else with your energy, than by all means do. However, if you have the choice of fulfilling a goal, go towards it.

I've known players who've wasted energy clearing away things, that they later were asked to clear away! Not only can they not clear them away for the second time, they can't complete their goal and get a new goal! This means they now have to wait, until whatever obstacle they were asked to clear regrows!
