Delicious fruit in different arts

To paint a fruit is something that takes a lot of practice. The fruit can otherwise look flat or dry. If you examine the paintings you can see how the grapes look juicy and the apples fresh. The secret is to find the right colours and hilight the bright side. Sometimes hilight it a lot! When you look at the YouTube painting of a Pomegranade it is so clear that the light comes from the right but the fruit has its darker side there too! The artist did not fall into the trap to make the fruit brighter there.

Sometimes the artist choose to arrange fruits, bowls, flowers on a table with or without a cloth. That is called "Still life" or Stilleben. The most difficult thing I experianced is to paint a silver knife. I still have so much to learn. This is why I look at and enjoy the artists that are - ARTISTS! I have a long way to go.

Nectarines rest on a table top their velvety skin glowing in the light.

Painting with oils he details two green apples on a snowflake crystal plate.

Oil paintings of Fruit

The originals are of course more expensive

Can you see these on your kitchen wall? That would really do something extra for the whole room!

Acryl paintings of Fruit

Lovely colours - is it not?

I have to trust the description that these are really Acryl paintings. Some look so much like oil. Enjoy and pick among these fruits. If you have a dining room they would look lovely there!

Some of the methods to print the canvas is so skilled you can hardly see it is a copy! Give them a chance and have a look. The prices are of course much lower than the originals.

Paint to get you started

Remember that you can buy the tubes one by one too

My suggestion is that you start with simple clean paintings. The more rich ones come later. Take a couple of fruits and put them on a dish or table. Then try to paint what you see. If you want to make them look like real fruit - perhaps you shoul buy a camera instead! Your painting is what YOU see there on the table.

The Swedish artis Lars Norrman said once: There are two kinds of bums, Pearshaped and appleshaped. Use the Kamasutra kit and Have fun!
