At first I thought this gas saver invention was a scam, but these tornado fuel saver devices really do work. Including my personal review, claims for the Tornado Fuel Saver are backed by EPA licensed road testing and plenty of satisfied customer reviews. Mercedes-Benz has also started to use this gas saving technology for their line of vehicles as well.
The tornado fuel saver works by creating a vortex that pulls and compacts air into the engine. Like the advantages of using a turbocharger, the tornado fuel saver really does improve gas mileage, horsepower and reduce exhaust gas emissions. Fuel saving additives work either by increasing the octane value of gasoline or reformulating the fuel to improve combustion efficiency. Some fuel saving additives use tiny particles called "esters" to break down the gas molecules, which lets air and oxygen get between them for a more efficient burn.
You see, gasoline does not burn completely in the engine. Just go out to your car and run your finger around the inside edge of the tail-pipe. That dark black smudge is wasted unburnt gas by your engine, and your wasted money. About 15% of gasoline does not burn due specifically to the size of the fuel molecules, and this comes out your engine as smog and pollution.

Other Ways to Save Gas Money
Gas Mileage Driving Tips
This is the overall best way to save on gas money. Don't stomp the gas unless you need to. Get in the habit of slowly accelerating, but never to the point where you're holding up traffic. Aggressive acceleration equals maximum gas consumption.
2. Tire pressure and Gas mileage.
Check your tire pressure while the tires are cold. Under-inflated tires require more horsepower to rotate, which lowers fuel economy. Tire pressure mileage gains will not be much, approximately 0.7 mpg, but its a good idea to have properly inflated tires anyway. Check your vehicle owners Manuel for required tire pressure.
3. Have your Sensors checked.
Computer sensors, especially your O2 sensor should be checked for proper operation. Feedback from the O2 sensor and MAP/MAF sensors helps the computer to determine how much fuel is needed. A faulty O2 sensor can make your vehicle computer use more gasoline by accident.
4. Fill your gas tank right before Sunrise.
Gasoline is more dense when cold. Gas pumps deliver fuel by volume, not weight, so if the fuel is cooler you get more for the same price.
5. Coasting into your stop or turn.
When approaching a stop or turn from a reasonable distance, ease off the pedal and begin coasting. Works well if your normal driving route has several bends that require a lower speed on the turn.
6. Use cruise control on straight roads.
Cruise control is one of the best ways to save gas on straight roads or long trips. Keep in mind, however, that cruise control will waste gas on hills, because it speeds the car uphill and slows downhill to maintain your speed at the set number.
7. Optimize Your Route.
Another great gas mileage tip is to plan your route to avoid traffic jams and rush hour traffic. Check traffic patterns online for your area and use them to your advantage.
8. Carpooling to Save on Gas Money.
Car pooling is a great way to save gas, especially if your friends and/or co-workers live reasonably close to the overall route.
9. Putting Acetone in the Gas Tank?
Adding small amounts of acetone to your gasoline will increase fuel mileage, but it would be safer and wiser to purchase a fuel additive like "Ethos FR" instead for the same price.

Not really. Driving at high speeds with your windows open creates aerodynamic drag, which consumes more gas. If your going over 50 mph you should close your windows and turn on your Air Conditioner.
14. Shutting off the Engine?
Only turn your off the engine to save gas if you plan to idle longer than 5 minutes. It takes 1 minute worth of gasoline to start your engine alone.
15. Search online for the lowest gas prices.
Check MapQuest for cheap gas prices in your area.
16. Should I buy a new car for better MPG?
NO! Its cheaper to build and install a Hydrogen Conversion Kit. You can get better MPG with an HHO Kit than most new 2008 cars. I'm not kidding...
"POSSIBLE" SCAM ALERTS!

BioPerformance
BioPerformance began as a gas saving pill that earned quite a bad reputation after being slapped with a lawsuit by the Attorney General of Texas for unjust marketing claims. The pill worked, but the website did not properly list the ingredients and claimed to be"non toxic".
BioPerformance gas saving pills contain a small portion of Naphthalene, which is a toxic chemical that has proven to increase fuel mileage, but also damages the engine. The Texas AG did not allow BioPerformance to issue refunds and other owed payouts, but to simply fill proper claims and submit them to the AG office.
Since that day BioPerformance has created a new website, which properly states the small portion of Naphthalene contained. BioPerformance states the chemical is only used as a dispersant and attributes the primary fuel mileage increase from three non-patented enzymes.
Their latest product comes in a gas mileage powder as BioPerformance works to redeem its good name among the fuel savers arena. Their overall intention seems good, but I think I'll just wait for some long term testing and reviews before I put BioPerformance in my vehicle.
Fitch Fuel Catalyst
The Fitch Fuel Catalyst is a device that you either install on your fuel line or drop in your gas tank. Its a cylinder full of "special pellets" that increase fuel mileage by catalytically hydrolyzing the fuel molecules. I'm not saying that it does not work, but I will say that dropping anything with pellets inside into your gas tank is a bad idea.
I checked out the official Fitch Fuel Catalyst website (www.fitchfuelcatalyst.com) to get some info, but they do not provide any details of what the Fitch Fuel Catalyst itself is made of. What happens if that thing corrodes in your gas tank and releases those tiny pellets into your fuel system? Besides that, most users only reported a 1 to 1.5 increase in fuel mileage, which really doesn't make it worth using the Fitch Fuel Catalyst.
I'm not claiming this one to be a scam, just unsafe. I would not recommend purchasing the Fitch Fuel Catalyst when compared to safer, more reliable ways to increase fuel mileage.
The Magnetic Fuel Saver
Fuel saving magnets sound like total non-sense, and very few people have reported considerable gas savings with these magnetic gadgets. Gas saving magnets claim work like a fuel economizer to prepare the gasoline itself for a more efficient burn, right before it reaches the engine. One in particular that we will discuss is a device called the Magnetic Fuel Saver.
To improve miles per gallon, the fuel molecules are supposedly ionized with a magnet which causes them to have a temporary shift in polarity. Ionization of the fuel particles causes them to separate on the way to the combustion chamber, allowing for a better air/fuel mix. The Magnetic Fuel Saver claims to be EPA tested and approved to increase gas mileage up to 11%, but many users have reported no increase in fuel economy. I also could not find any EPA approval for the Magnetic Fuel Saver.
I know that fuel molecules do cluster together, and separating these clusters has proven to increase gas mileage, but there are better, more practical ways to save gas money than buying a special magnet or magnets. I still intend to try this gas magnet some day for curiosity sake, but for now these magnetic fuel saving devices just don't fit into my budget.
The only exception to these fuel line magnets is a report I read about applying magnetism to fuel in boilers to improve efficiency and reduce emissions. However, the magnetic field strength of these gas magnets must be at least 500 Gauss, since it may be demagnetized to some extent before reaching the combustion chamber. Maybe an electromagnetic fuel saver just might do the job to increase fuel mileage?

- Some interesting tips on here; I'll check them out. It is worth noting though that tip 4 and 14 are incorrect: fuel underground remains at a pretty much constant temperature. Tip 14 only applies to carburated engines. Hydrogen Assisted Fuel Enhancement is an awsome idea, but only if you have hydrogen cylinders already filled: generating hydrogen on the fly is too slow and I doubt it would produce enough to make a difference
