"...the best products of their kind in the world."
Through the years, The Fuller Brush Company has grown from one man's fiber suitcase, filled with unique custom-made brushes, to an exciting collection of home/business care, and personal care products, all crafted with the same quality and precision that have made The Fuller Brush Company a name welcomed everywhere.
From the beginning Fuller established three basic rules:
* Make it work
* Make it last
* Guarantee it no matter what.
Today, over a century later, these words still guide The Fuller Brush Company.
Stainless Steel Sponges
No living sponges were harmed in the making of this product.
I can hear you now, "Why would anyone review stainless steel sponges of all things!" I have only one thing to say to you...just wait till I do my review on the toilet swab!When I signed up as a Fuller distributor in October 2008, a pack of stainless steel sponges was in my kit. If they hadn't been in the kit, I probably would have choked on the $8.99 price + shipping. But, since I already had them, I decided to try them out and see if they were as good as the company seemed to think.
Ten months later I've just throw out the first one. It went through several washes in the dishwasher and was actually still functional, just getting kind of stretched out and ugly. It had not rusted at all.
(The name 'stainless steel sponge' is a misnomer. It is not a sponge made of steel. It is a scrubber, which is why I will refer to them as 'scrubbers' from this point on.)
I bought some new non-stick pans three or four months ago. I wondered if I dared try these scrubbers on them. Would the pan get all scratched up? I decided to risk it. I pulled my big pot out of the sink. I turned on the water, picked up the scrubber and gingerly began scrubbing the top inside edge of the pot. I figured if it did get scratched there, it wasn't a total loss. What happened?
No scratches.
I went deeper into the pot. Scrub, scrub, scrub. Still no scratches.
I scrubbed harder. No scratches. Not even a tiny one. The only thing I had in my hands was a clean non-stick pan!
The hallelujah chorus sounded! Once again, a Fuller Brush product had passed my scrutiny with flying colors!
So, after my enthusiastic scrubbing of my nonstick pan, you might be wondering what the scrubber looked like. It looked pretty much the same as when I'd started. It wasn't falling apart at all--not even a little bit. It was still coiled all 40,000 times that Fuller tells me they coil these scrubbers.
And, like I mentioned earlier, these stainless steel sponges/scrubbers can be washed in the dishwasher very easily.
Did they make the grade? Absolutely. I give these stainless steel sponges an A+.
Are they worth the cost? I did the math. Rounding off to $9.00/pack of 3 and adding in $8.00 shipping equals $17.00 or about $6.00/sponge (choke!)**. Divide that by 10 months (the length of time 1 lasted) and it comes out to around .60/month.
**Most people would not just purchase one pack of sponges since the shipping charge is a flat fee of $8.00 no matter how much you buy. In that case, the cost of shipping would be distributed amongst all the purchased items, making the total cost of the sponges less than .60/month.
Definitely worth the cost, particularly in comparison to the bargain variety you can find at any big box store.
Fluffy Duster
Help Fuller Dust Away Breast Cancer
Fuller's Fluffy Duster isn't just any old duster! It's a really, really good microfiber duster that picks up and holds that half-inch of dust that's built up on top of that ugly mutant wolf statue your Great-Aunt Lola gave you (you know, the one you hid in the back of your closet; the one you only take out when she comes to visit).It's 25" length makes it easy to dust all your high and low items with just one swipe. It's got a good, solid, substantial acrylic handle that isn't likely to break unless you're actually trying to saw it in half. It makes a great gift for your friends, husband, or your college student heading back to school.

Fuller 86 Laundry Detergent
Fuller 86 Powdered Laundry Detergent. I was skeptical. Would this laundry detergent be any better than the one I bought locally? Since I'd just finished doing the laundry, I had to wait for a week to find out...Well, what's the verdict?
Fuller 86 definitely belongs in the laundry room.
From it's recyclable cardboard box to it's cleaning power, I'd totally recommend picking up a box of this stuff. You only need 1/8 of a cup per load! At that rate, this box will last me a long time.
Fuller 86 is phosphate free and gets out all the blood, grass stains and ground in dirt you can throw at it. And, it's 100% satisfaction guaranteed. When's the last time you heard of any kind of laundry product offering a money-back guarantee if you don't like it? Me? Never.
Your clothes will be brighter, stay fresher longer and be completely clean when the load's finished. Oh, and they'll smell good, too. Plus, it completely dissolves. No little bits of soap crusties left at the bottom of the washer or on your clothes. And, it rinses out really well compared to other brands. No residue left behind that I could tell.
As far as fading or leaving blotches on the clothes goes, my clothes looked as colorful after the washing with Fuller 86 as they did before--maybe more colorful since the color wasn't dulled by soap residue. And, there wasn't a blotchy spot to be seen.
I almost forgot to mention it's made in America. No worries about contamination like we're hearing about a lot of stuff made in China. And the jobs stay here in the U.S.
So, let me sum it up. Fuller 86 Powdered Laundry Detergent definitely made a believer out of me. It lived up to the Fuller Brush Company's reputation for excellent quality products. It's economical, left my clothes smelling good, clean and fresh. You won't worry about quality-control problems and you'll be supporting the American economy and ensuring somebody's job stays here in America.
