Did I ever tell you about the time my cousin went moose hunting in Newfoundland. It was the wintertime, eh ... well, it didn't take him long to come across a new set of tracks. So he followed them for almost 4 hours, eh .... and finally sure enough ... he got hit by the train.

Did you know that there are between 100,000 and 150,000 moose in the province of Newfoundland?

What wonderful moose fun! I got to touch a young one once when I was little, they are not pretty but they are beautiful. You mention that a moose can be dangerous and that is very true, they are feisty. I saw a video a while back of a moose holding off a pack of wolves, he was a smart one and wouldn't let them get to his back haunches.

I went on a moose quest to Maine not so very long ago. My amazing moose moments took place in Baxter State Park. Had some very up close and personal moments (too close!) with a cow and her calf. They are such fascinating creatures. Enjoyed your lens!

One summer as we were crossing the Vermont mountains we ran across a mother moose and her twin calves. What an amazing sight! We never saw moose when I was young. There were too many fields and pastures. Now that the woods have grown back in the Moose are coming back. Ever since I saw those two baby moose I have been interested in finding the facts about moose.
    Blessed by a SquidAngel!

I am following wordstock's list of blessed lenses and I can see why she stopped here. My mother grew up on Isle Royale which has both moose and wolves. As she got older, I would buy her a stuffed moose for Christmas. There is just something special about these unique creatures. My trivia fact about moose - many of the Isle Royale moose have arthritis. I don't know, I find that interesting.
