I'm here for a Good Time ...!!!
This lens will feature all kinds of fun things to do. Things that are easy on the mind and gives people some time away from the everyday stress we all have to deal with it. A lot of the activities here are what I call Coffee Break Activities and will include (but not limited to) reading, fun polls, quizzes, short stories (many are FREE), on-line games and whatever is my fancy as I create this lens. Surely, somewhere amongst all this stuff, you will find something to amuse you and bring the stress meter down.

For the Readers among you
In case you don't realize it (but I'm sure you must by now) there is enough free reading material on the Internet to last you for eternity. There are many sites but the ones that come quickly to my mind are manybooks.net, smashwords.com and Project Gutenberg (the Grand-Daddy of them all).So much good stuff there is no reason to be bored. Edgar Allan Poe, Charles Dickens, Jack London, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, H G wells, and a thousand others are offerring you their works for free (while maybe not them exactly). In my lens Over 100 Amazing Links you might find some links that you may not be aware.
Often, new writers (such as myself) will offer their books free to get you "hooked". Actually, many write just for the love of doing so becuase it is next to impossible to make any real money - there are just too many wanna-be authors out there. However, do not overlook these new authors as there are some good ones out there - you just need to be patient and take sometime to find them. What is most important to me and I expect to the others, is that we have been able to entertain others and get a good book review now and again.

Quizzes and Polls
Many people seem to like these sorts of things as they are qujick to do and make a perfect companion to a cup of coffee. There are quite a few of sites where you can make your own quizzes or polls and I will provide you with a link to some further on in this lens.
As for me, I do both. I like using the poll module here on Squidoo as it gives nice colored graphs of people's responses. In those, I list the correct answers after or in the case of the Zanny Zurvey, there are no correct answers. Others prefer the Quiz module which gives answers immediately after the quiz (but doesn't provide the color bar graphs nor the nice photos which I would rather have).

Old Time Radio
Let's not forget all the free podcasts that can be found on the Internet. As a staring point, you should hook yourself up with iTunes and check out all the free podcats they offer in their iTunes store.

The Music World
I suppose iTunes leads the way but there are lots of other sites out there. You can even be your own DJ and one of those sites is blip.fm and of course, do not overlook Internet Radio as well. It seems that cds are going to go the way of the dinosuars very short as everybody is switching to electronic media and much faster than books. I guess many people still like to turn actual pages - seems like a waste of energy to me to do that and lug the weight of the book around but what do I know? Favourite Things to listen to

TV and Movies
Another area on the Internet that keeps us from becoming bored. Lost of free television and many of them show the old favourites like the Beverly Hillbillies, I Love Lucy, The Lone Ranger and dozens more. You can even get free movies - most are quite old but still, some of them are good. Oh, and don't forget that there are lots of documentaries out there as well. I'll give you a link to some of those as well.Let's not forget all the videos that are out there.

Fantasy Sports
And what about Fantasy Sports? There are many sites on the Internet where you can create your own dream team and compete for prizes and glory. Of course, you need to get involved just before a specific season begins. There are Fantasy Leagues for Baseball, Football and Hockey for sure and I imagine others sports as well.You should be able to find a league that is of interest to you simply by using a search engine.
RSS Feeds
I don't use this much but lots of people do. What is it? It is an Internet feature which in effect lets your news iitems, weather reports, blog updates and much more be delivered right to your computer even while you sleep. It's a great way to keep up-to-date on those things and people that interest you. To learn more just do a search on "RSS feeds" and up will come the link to Wikiedia who will give you the ground info you need.Of course, if the site you are interested in doesn't provide that service, then you will just need to bookmark it or put it into your favourites and check it once in a while.
Books, Audio & Visual Entertainment and Other Stuff
- Smashwords
- This is a site where many new writers launch their books. In my opinion there is a lot of junk but with patience, you can find some real gems here. A lot of the books are either free or inexpensive.
