Sock Crafting Ideas from Sherri
Just when I think I've thought of every sock craft imaginable, along comes some ingenious people who have come up with fun ideas of their own. Sherri Osborn, an About.com Crafts guide, shares a great idea for creating a bean bag bear from a sock plus a few other supplies. It's for ages 6 and up, and only takes thirty minutes to complete! She also shares instructions for an adorable snowman that uses a sock, an old lightbulb, and a few other supplies. Have a Sock Monkey Birthday Party!

Try a Sock Crafting Kit
Pay attention to the supplies that are included in a kit. Make a note of them so you won't forget, and you'll be able to tweak your next project. Consider the crafts kit a springboard for future projects, and your socks will thank you.

- What a wonderfully fun and interesting lens! I've never made anything out of socks - other than playing around by puting them on my hands and being silly ;) There are some wonderful ideas here on creative crafts with socks! Blessed. :)

- Thank you so much - it's a late thank-you for a much-appreciated blessing back in December. Yikes! Where has the time gone? What a great thing, to have the sock monkey your grandma made for you. Treasure it!

- I didn't see your comment in December, but appreciate it just as much in February! I appreciate your encouragement always. In fact, your comment got me thinking...I think I'll create a lens and combine all these crafts lenses into one easy place - there are eight of them now, with one WIP. Happy Weekend!

Where Have All the Sockies Gone?
This question has plagued the world for centuries. First came a nice soft, squooshy pair of socks. Next thing you know, one is missing and the other...well, the other ends up in a laundry basket where it waits for its matching sock to return.
It's frustrating. You certainly don't want to dump a perfectly good sock. But how long should you wait? Let's hear it from the sock, shall we?
