Have A Little Fun With Some Boring Old Bowling
Here's my favorite link:
Some Different Types Of Bowling Games
There is more than one way to get your bowling groove on.

If your one of the more adventurous types, you just jump right in and and download one of these fun bowling games and start playing. Don't worry, they're totally virus free, and free to play as well. At least for an hour each. Heck, play each one of them, and get five free hours of computer gaming goodness. I've tried them all, and I do know they work under windows Vista, and Windows XP. I think they're may even be a Mac version for a few of them.
If you have a Nintento Wii, then I'm sure you've played the bowling game that comes with the console. If you haven't then what are you waiting for. It's the closest you'll come to having a bowling alley in your house. At least for some of us it is, unless your Richy Rich. The Nintendo version, is actually a little bit easier than real bowling, but there's still a bit of a trick to it. I never quite figured it totally out, but my 10 year old daughter didn't seem to have a problem racking up strike after strike. I didn't know, that three strikes in a row is called a turkey. I didn't get it, she did. See, playing video games can be educational Mom!
Bowling on your cell phone can be fun to. Sure beats staring out the bus window on the long commute home, wondering why that smelly guy had to pick the seat right next to you. It's not quite the same as the Wii version, or the downloaded ones I liked to earlier.
Somewhere in between the mobile fun bowling games, and the downloaded games, would be the browser based games. Most of the popular gaming websites, should have a bowling game you can play without having to download anything. They're usually pretty simple, in terms of the graphics, sound effects, and user interface. But they can still be alright to kill a few minutes of boredom with.
