New Hampshire Man to Shoot 1 Million Hoops To Raise Donations for Veterans

I saw a clip on the news about a fund raising project to benefit military veterans. I have several friends with sons and daughters serving overseas, some of whom I've known since they were children, watching them grow from kindergarten all the way to soliders in the line of fire. Needless to say, this is a subject that's close to my heart.

Dave Cummings from New Hampshire is attempting to make "1 million foul shots", beginning on Veteran's Day 2009 and continuing on until he meets his goal of 1 million shots. For his efforts, Mr. Cummings is asking for donations, which will be sent to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.

Exerpt from Hoops for Heroes website: "Hoops For Heroes is a registered New Hampshire not-for-profit organization whose mission is to pay tribute to Veterans by providing financial support to those that have sacrificed for our nation, specifically by raising money for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund."

What a wonderful gesture. Mr. Cummings, you're a true patriot! Thank you!

Donate To Benefit Military Veterans

Consider making a donation. If Dave Cummings can spend three hours a day shooting baskets, we can certainly donate a buck or two.
Important!

Thank a Solider

If you see a solider today, stop and shake his/her hand. Remember those who have been lost and those who are in harms way now. Never take for granted your freedoms. We are free because of the brave sacrifices of others.

God Bless Our Troops and Their Families!
