Funnel Vision v Tunnel Vision
There is a harsh truth.
You could be acting as the constraint to the opportunities for growth of your business because you are suffering from tunnel vision.
This is a type of myopia, you can't see ideas that could make a big difference to your business because you are stuck in an industry mindset.

You Need Funnel Vision not Tunnel Vision
I love talking about this simple idea of funnel vision because it is so simple but so powerful.
You should look for business lessons everywhere and in everything you do both in your business life and your personal life.
Jay Abraham has worked directly with clients in over 400 different industries and he has been amazed at the way particular industries have their own defined and set strategies for competing.
All the businesses in the industry tend to operate in much the same way with small differences in effectiveness and efficiency creating quite a wide range of results.
But Jay started borrowing ideas from one industry and applying them to another and found that they had the "impact of an atom bomb"
If you can be the first to use a new technique you can gain such a big advantage that you become preeminent.
Look at Amazon for example in books.
