The Hillbilly Crackpot
What is it about hillbillies that makes them so funny? Well, most of what we laugh at is actually myth that was created by "Hollywood" with the likes of Lil Abner, Ma and Pa Kettle and, of course, the Beverly Hillbillies.
I tend to think there is a little 'hillbilly' in all of us, but I know for certain there are those who are much more so than others (Believe me, I know several of them!).

If you are easily offended you may not want to read this silly crap, but if you have a good sense of humor I can promise you some laughs. I have been a hillbilly all my life and dang it I still think us hillbillies can be perty dern funny.

The old talker is a vampire like creature who draws energy from his victims boredom. The more he talks the more bored the listener becomes and the more bored the listener the more he talks. Men and have been driven to madness and drool and most never recovered. Sometimes a victim is transformed into a talking tree leaner; probably a much worse fate than those who died of madness.

You don't know what might be lurking in the weeds and trees but you know very well that the biggest spiders that ever lived lived in outhouses. Oh, but this story has nothing to do with spiders...

- Ah -- cute lens. FYI, I have an ex husband that affectionately referred to himself as a hillbilly because of his interesting upbringing. Funny thing though that he went on to become the CEO of a major Ohio company that was featured as one of the great companies to work for.
