Do you like funny songs? Do you love the Australian accent? I'm sure you said "yes," so I know you are going to like the funny Australian songs I'll share with you here.
I lived in Australia for 3 1/2 years and loved the country and the people. They have a great sense of humor and a laid-back attitude towards life. "No worries, mate," was a phrase one heard often.
The music of Australia includes plenty of humorous tunes and novelty songs that reflects this attitude. Here's a sampling for your listening pleasure. I was privileged to hear some of it first-hand in Alice Springs where I lived. There was Ted Egan, Bloodwood and once a week, the folk music perfomances.
Feel free to hum along and laugh out loud at these offbeat, Aussie tunes. First you'll hear songs for the whole family, then there is a section of funny Australian songs for grown-ups, then at the end are funny Australian Christmas songs.

- Excellent lens. I used to love watching the Paul Hogan show years ago, and we used to have some great Fosters and Castlemaine XXXX commercials on tv too. Loved Charlie Drake when I was growing up. Great job, blessed.

- Once when I was in high school, my friends and I met some Aussie sailors on a BART train. During the trip, they taught us a song with the refrain, "Singin' ho, tiddlee oh, rip *#!@&! or bust, never let your #$@%!! dangle in the dust!" And, yes, I'd love to see Australia.
