Funny Food Costumes Are Practical!
That's right, you really can become what you eat. Or at least have fun looking like it. Therefore I will boldly state, "Food costumes are funny and practical."
I know what you are thinking. How can I call funny food costumes practical, and why would I say such a ridiculous thing? Well that's easy. It is more than becoming what you eat. Food is part of our daily life. Most people eat (ok, all people eat).
Think about what you wore last year for Halloween. Can you even remember? Now, think about how relevant it was to your day to day life. Were you a ghost, or a witch (I know some people think I behave like a witch from time to time, so maybe this was not the best example)? Did you wear the costume more than once?
Food, on the other hand, is a daily necessity. We eat food everyday, and most of us more than once a day. So why not dress like it.
I am guessing you came here to actually see the funny food costumes, so let's get going.

I love Ice Cream Sandwiches, so I think this would be an awesome costume. I was happy to read that it was a one piece plush pullover bodysuit, so it sounds like sitting will be possible. Otherwise, how would I get in and out of the car?It sure looks like a yummy treat with delicious vanilla ice cream sandwiched between two chocolate cookie layers. Gotta love the coordinating hat.
You could also use this costume to promote an ice cream shop or stand at a festival or faire.

I can think of so many fun uses for these fruit costumes outside of Halloween. Perfect for spring time and summer to promote your latest crop, or for the winter when you are craving fresh fruit.

Do you think wearing one of these to the table might get kids to eat their vegetables? I don't either, but it might get them to laugh enough to forget that they don't like them. I remember the strange look on the face of a local little girl just after we had moved from America to New Zealand and I offered her a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. First off "jelly" in New Zealand is what American's call Jello, and secondly peanut butter is eaten here with butter.
So, if you live anywhere else, this PBJ sandwich would be an awesome costume. It is a foam sandwich top, so it will maintain it's shape. Bits of peanut butter and jelly show on the sides.

Calling all pizza fans - this is the costume for you. I love pizza. This one looks like delicioius pepperoni and fresh mushroom with a New York style crust. My favorite.Not only would this be awesome at Halloween, it would be the perfect accessory for those guys that stand on the corner advertising the local pizza shop.
Wondering how it works - this "tasty tunic" slips over your head, and rests on your shoulders for a double sided pizza costume.

- The banana, hot dog, and carrot provide endless opportunities for innuendo, Chinese Takeout is original, and the pack of bologna costume in the sidebar is nauseatingly good. Hm, tough choice, but I'd go with the pizza just because I'm hungry and it sounds tasty at the moment. Squid Angel blessed!

- Last year when my sister-in-law brought my little nieces by for trick or treat.. she had the new baby (5 mos.) in the stroller and he was dressed in a little pea pod costume. I have never seen a costume that small.. he was so adorable!
